Any chance for parks to open an hour early for resort hotel guests again this year(2022) from around the dates of December 19th-January 3rd?

My family had it all planned out last year for a trip before Christmas to first Universal Orlando and then Disney World. We didn’t make it past the first day at universal. My daughter had problems breathing, and we took her to the doctor (she tested positive for flu and strep). We moved reservations and headed home. On the way home I saw hours had been extended for all Disney parks, and I was devastated but happy for those that were able to visit at that time. I’m curious if anyone thinks that could happen again this year, or was it only a 2021 Christmas resort benefit. We are booked again at the dolphin and watching for any special developments. We’re booked from 12/17-12/22.

It could happen but to date, nothing has been announced. Nobody truly knows.

Disney has already changed their schedules for new Fantasmic .
Calendar hours could be shortened
from 1/2 to 15 minutes for guests in A.M.( early entry. ) (haha)

Castmember friend checking schedule expecting 6 day mandatory for busy holiday weekend and looked like none were scheduled across all departments….

DCP cast members have crazy schedules to make up for the FT employees getting less hours. My daughter is working anywhere from 50-60 per week even when there are no holidays. It's absolutely nuts!

So, it seems like I am in the minority, but I still think it is a possibility, and I would say I think it is even likely that Disney does extend the hours Christmas week. It is one of the busiest weeks of the year, the parks are already sold out certain dates, and one easy way to increase capacity (increase tickets sold) for a park that is booked up is to extend hours. I expect hours to be extended (now, I'm not sure if that will be early hours for resort guests, or just extended in general) but I do expect they will extend late Dec hours.

I am deeply shocked MK doesn’t open until 9am (8:30am for early entry) for all of Christmas week. And it looks like that was the case last year too. What happened to 7am openings?
