Any chance DHS Frozen will be extended?

I heard from an entertainment CM today that the frozen events have been extended through November... Anyone else hear that? I asked if it was "official" and they said the entertainment CMs "just know."

I trust the info from several posters on this thread that there won't be any extension.

I'm really hoping not, too. I thought we were safe going in October. Just curious if the rumor is just a rumor or if other people had heard anything.

I don't think there is any way at all for them to extend it due to Osborne Lights. And honestly, I suspect the CMs are the last to know the plans

Not trying to be rude but several posters on these boards also said free dining wouldn't happen this year and we all know how that turned out. Not saying it will or won't be extended but I would say that no one except Disney knows for sure right now.

Disney probably knows. A random entertainment CM is not Disney.

The posters I am referring to have a lot of experience and in some cases, connections themselves to pretty darn reliable information. I will always trust them over a single unnamed entertainment CM.

I don't follow FD since it does not interest me.

Does anyone think they will have the Frozen Summer Fun *next* summer(2015)?:scratchin

I hope so, as that's the soonest we are going to be able to make it back down to WDW.

I think there is a better chance of that happening than of them extending the event in to the fall and/or winter. Probably depends on how popular Frozen remains that far out from the movie release.

Rumors are floating around that they might extend. To what degree I don't know.

The funland and sing a long and their impact on the Osborne lights, to me, it would not affect it at all. On the contrary it would add to the overall "winter" feel.

I agree. It depends on how popular Frozen is coming into next summer. And if we see something I suspect it will be on a smaller scale.

This whole event is a one shot.

Next summer, I wouldn't be surprised to see the sing-a-long, and maybe A&E added to the afternoon parade. The fireworks since it involves closing TSM I suspect we won't see that.

We'll see...

But until Steve Soars posts that it's been extended it's rumor. I've heard from Entertainment CM (that I trust) that Steve often knows their schedules before they do.

There's no regular afternoon parade at DHS

There's no regular afternoon parade at DHS

DHS has done them in the past.

I could see them doing a version of stars and motorcars with the Frozen characters. Like they do for SWW they have all the stuff they need for it over at DHS already.

Unlike the current parade which has elements from the MVMCP in it. The snowflake skaters and the floats come to mind. I have no idea how hard it is to move those floats from MK to DHS but I would guess its non trivial.

The SWW parade has many, many elements to it, including the massive amount of members from the 501st and Rebel Legion. All of the SW characters plus celebrities.
If they did a version of that with just Frozen it would be one car for Anna and Elsa and one for Kristoff, it would be ridiculously short and uninspiring. I doubt Disney will do that. Many of the CM in entertainment that are doing the snowflakes and skaters are already involved with MVMCP not only the parade but also the castle show. The hours won't allow for them to do both DHS and MK.
Like I said they might extend the Funland and Sing A Long and maybe have Anna, Elsa and Kristoff do an appearance on the Hat Stage but I don't think they would have a parade

Not necessarily continuing the Frozen processional but I hope this will make TDO realize/remember that DHS could really stand having a parade again. I read somewhere online that all of the Countdown to Fun floats were still sitting backstage in the parade storage. Is that true? That wasn't the best parade but I wish that they'd bring it back.

A couple of the small floats were recycled for the SWW park opening. All of the others remain as is and there had been rumors a parade would return to DHS. Frozen had priority over everything else at is was brainstormed, planned, and put in place in 12 days. So, it will be interesting to see what happens Frozen-wise. :)

Phinneas and Ferb have had the best summer ever for years! Just saying...

I heard from an entertainment CM today that the frozen events will possibly be extended through November... Anyone else hear that? I asked if it was "official" and they said the entertainment CMs "just know." I was honestly hoping to avoid it in October.

Rumors have been floating around, but I haven't heard anything substantial at this point.

The most interesting place I heard it was when I called to reserve a Frozen Premium Package. The first available was Sept 4th. She asked if I wanted to book it. I laughed and thanked but passed. She told me it's been extended through September, but they only have availability through Sept 6th. I said that was interesting since it ends on Sept 1st. She insisted she could book it for me.

Some of us didn't think it was possible to have characerpalooza and the singalong queue in the same area, yet they did!

The floats used in the parade are from MNSSHP so I'm sure, if they extend, the parade will be different as it's impossible to transport the floats back and forth.

I think that would be great to keep the Funland! Wonder if they could justify keeping a contracted out service like the ice?

It will be interesting! It's been a long time since DHS had a "real" parade and not a dance party type one. That's why I love the Frozen processional. Plus there was that MVMCP deja vu feeling too ;)

OMG I don't know where my head is, lets just say I had the case of the Mondays (Office Space reference)
I've been saying MNSSHP instead of MVMCP....so yeah, they could extend until the Christmas party.
Just checked operating times on the HUB and they have not changed, starting Sept. 2nd closing time for DHS is 8pm with an 8:30pm F! meaning that fireworks are not yet on the schedule since it's still light outside at that time.

Rofl. Now, we're on the same page!

Hopefully, that will change ;)
