Anyone not get a waitlist and call within 7 days of their trip to see if anything opened up? I am checking in thursday, but is it worthwhile to try last time to see if we can get into, say WVL?

In 2005, we had been on the WL for 6 months for a 1BR BWV for Columbus Day (we had the next 10 nights). I called every one of the last days before we arrived and on the last day that MS was open (it was closed both Sat and Sun and for the Mon holiday at that time), I got my date. So, it can happen. I actually called while there and switched my reservation from SSR on night 4 of a 9 day stay to switch to the WLV in December 2005. Just keep calling.

Two different times we got our last night changed THE DAY before we were suppost to move. Once at BCV and once at AKV. So just keep trying.
