my family absolutely loved the xmas version.
my personal favorite was the 3 girls with the red/white green/white velvet dresses that sang sleigh ride.

i only ever saw the non xmas version once which was when i was an adult. i can see why my parents didn't bother to take us to see it when it was the regular version.
i will never get blood on the saddle out of my head. that song should not be intermingled with my disney memories.

I'd say maybe but unlikely. Every time they have refurbed the show it gets shorter.

1) Highly doubtful.
2) They stopped when they were sued for Christmas-season song royalties. *
3) To change the songs would be a computer programming cost for the characters.
. . . song changes and rewrites
. . . character actions and facial expressions
. . . overall show coordination and sequencing
4) Don't look for it to happen.
