Any chance at OKW GV at 7 months?

I'm planning a trip for 8 or 9 in May and had planned to get 2 1BR's. But it's not too many more points to get a GV at OKW (and that's one of our top choices anyway). Does anyone have experience at getting a GV if they call at exactly 7 months? We're going to do a 3 night stay, Sat - Tues in May but not Memorial Day weekend.

Does anyone know if the GV's will be refurbished by then? I can't tell from the layout - does the downstairs have 2 full baths or 1 1/2?

We got an OKW GV at 7 months over Mother's Day in 2009.

We got a GV 7 months out but it was for August. Be sure and call at 9:00 a.m. exactly 7 months out, even if they don't have it available you should be right up there on the waitlist.

I was able to change a 1 bedroom ressie to a GV at just over 7 months this year for the end of January. They had plenty of availability too. FYI, we did it for the same reasons. We have friends who also own DVC and we were all planning to travel at the same time. We decided to pool some points and do a GV which would cost each of us a bit less than what we originally booked. The part that would be hard for me is the 3 night stay part. I would hate to unpack into that large space knowing that I'd have to pack up again so soon.

Yes, the downstairs has two full baths. In fact the bath off the downstairs hallway is one of the cutest of all the DVC properties. It has really interesting tile and a stand alone shower rather than a tub/shower. Here's the All Ears picture.

I've done it at 6 months (twice) for the month of June! I think you have a good shot.

as long as you can be a little flexible with the dates, you should be fine. We just made a 6 month ressie for our GV in Jan.

Diane, did they ruin that cute little bathroom with the renovation?

We just got our seven nights in a GV for next June and I hope I get to see that one.
