Any Cat Experts Out There??

Awe. Prettyblue I am so sorry for your loss. I believe our fur babies watch us and play together until they can see us again. My Alice (last to go less than a year ago at about age 16) will keep your baby company.

File this recipe away for the future use. Its roughly the equivalent of ensure for cats. Use it when you need to keep calories up to aid in getting over an illness.
1 egg yolk
1 tbl sugar
2 tbl water

Blend well and use a baby medicine dropper to feed the cat. Do it once every 3 hours.
My mom was a cat breeder for years. She used to have one cat that would fake listlessness to get it.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully it's some comfort to you that she had a happy life being obviously very loved and cared for.

Hi everyone, this will be the last update.

We took her into the vet, and had to make the extremely difficult decision to let her go. It was something going on with her stomach, probably cancer. My husband knows the details; it's all a blur to me right now. I still can't quite wrap my head around it.

She had a wonderful and blessedly happy 19 years, and now I just have to be grateful that I had such a long time with my beautiful girl. I take comfort in knowing that she's no longer in pain. She was so weak and uncomfortable this morning, and I'm so glad that she has been relieved of that now. I know in my heart that I'll be seeing her again someday.

Thank you again, your support means more than you know.

You did the right thing.

I'm so sorry about your dear kitty. :sad1: You are a good pet mama to do the right thing and let her go. And I do truly believe you will be reunited with her again some day.

I came back to see if there was an update.
So sorry for your loss.

Oh, sweetheart. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My girl Minnie, who we lost in Dec is hanging out with her and showing her the ropes right now I bet !

I'm so so sorry. We had to put our 19 year old girl down a few months ago, so I know how you're feeling.

So sorry about your kitty...the toughest part of being a kitty mom is when you have to make that decision.

Oh, I'm so sorry!

How lucky you were to have her for 19 years--and how lucky she was to have you!
