We've booked the CB for Oct. 1-9. We'll be staying in a Pirate Room and I believe that puts us in Trinidad North or South. Many folks have complained of the walk to the OPR for food, coffee, etc. If I can specify which building we stay at, where should I ask for? North or South? The buses stop at each of those sections, don't they? How many stops to and from the parks? Is there much difference? Thanks for your help.

The pirate rooms are all located in the village of Trinidad South which is between a 6 and 10 minute walk to Old Port Royale (main pool, food court, etc.). As far as what building to request, I can't make any suggestions but maybe someone else can.

There are bus stops at each resort village so you are never far from one. There is also an internal shuttle bus should you want to take it to and from Old Port Royale. Me, personally, I'd just walk areound the resort instead of waiting on the internal bus.

The pirate rooms are located in Trinidad South only.

Anywhere from 8 - 12mins was our average. I wouldn't complain about it... but it's certainly in the back of your mind when you just want a quick snack or drink!

Since the rooms have a mini fridge and coffee maker, consider bringing or ordering (gardengrocer.com, etc) drinks and snacks for the room.

There are 6 buildings in Trinidad South... 34 - 39. Buildings 34 - 36 are closer to OPR than 37 - 39. The Villages quiet pool and laundry are located between buildings 36 and 37 in the middle of the village. All 6 have easy access to parking and the beach area.

There are 7 stops within the resort. One for each village (6) and OPR.

There are two entrances into the resort that buses can choose... and therefore two routes they can follow.

One route starts are Martinique and loops around (making Trinidad South the 4th stop) the other starts at Jamaica (making Trinidad South the 7th, last stop.) We found buses tended to follow the second route more often, resulting in us being the last stop.

To be honest, we would get off at Jamaica and walk back to the village. Everytime we beat the bus back to our stop... and the walk was just as nice... the resort is gorgeous!

Wow. Thanks for all the info!

DisneySherpa's response was great - and definitely covered a lot of info. I just wanted to share a review of CBR that another Dis'er has done, and I've found her info to be great - she covers everything to do with the resorts (DME, food courts, buses, rooms, mousekeeping, etc.).

The thing I've found most helpful in her resort reviews are how she keeps track of the time it takes to walk around the resort and to get from point A to point B on the buses. Mini-disclaimer - the times she gives are her experience with her family, but are a useful guide.

I'm sure you'll have a ton of fun - I can't wait to have a chance to try one of the Pirate Rooms!

Drink up, me hearty's, yo HO!! pirate:

The link you provided is a great review of the CBR. Momof2 does a fantastic job of describing her CBR stays and providing accurate information.:thumbsup2
