Hi

Has anyone seen any car rental discounts for March or am I too early?

Thanks!!

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earboy2:

I'm looking also for March-so far most "specials" go to early Feb.
I did find a decent rate at National using AMEX ID and entertainment coupon for one of my rentals and Alamo using entertainment coupon for $25 off on the other.

I reserved a Mid-sized Dodge Stratus at Thrifty using my AAA code, AAA for $17.57/day, $162 total during the week of April 1st-8th.

If you don't have AAA you can use code au11 for the same discount.

Note: the mid-size is cheaper than the economy and compact size cars.

She will have to wait a while for good rates to show up from Thrifty again. I had been procrastinating for my trip (2/24-3/4) and the rates almost doubled about a week ago. I think once the holidays are over, the rates will come back down.

Bumping hoping for some good news........have not seen any discounts.

Have a magical Disney Day!!

No good news yet. I'm waiting there with ya! I really wouldn't be surprised if Thrifty came out with a new discount code in early to mid january.

Is the Thrifty car rental place in the airport terminal? I hate to have to take a shuttle to get it. Right now I'm looking at just taking a town car service in March. The National rate even with Ent. coupon and Priceless code was showing up at more than $200 if I rent a car seat. Then I have to buy the Ent. book.

Actually we usually take a towncar and then rent from National or Alamo onsite at WDW. Seems to have worked out better for us the last several times.

If we rented at the airport we would probably have to rent a minivan for all of us and our luggage. This way we can rent a car onsite and don't have to worry about the size and extra gas to run a van for 10 days.

Thrifty is offsite but, it really is just a quick shuttle ride away. The shuttle is pretty much always waiting and it's maybe a 10 minute drive away.

I have my ressies with national for my May trip. 15 days for $299 total. That is less than $150 a week including all taxes and fees. That is the intermediate price, using the priceless code of 6600330 and the $20 national coupon. The base rate is $134 before any discounts applied. I'm happy with this rate, but will continue to watch for any drops too. I have a ressie for my 8 day stay in january and the total is $124 after taxes and fees, with a base rate of $111. Hopefully May will drop to this rate and save me another $50.
