Any car rental deals at MCO?

We are going to WDW in late January, and were blown away when we saw what the car rental companies wanted to rent a van. Does anyone have any ideas on how to save $$ on rental cars? We really need a van, so we can't downsize.

You need to follow the Transportation Board for tips. And it is probably too soon to get a good deal in January.

Some of the best deals are thru Costco's website, if you are a Costco member. But others looking for minivans will be posting information on the Transportation board.

1) EZ car rental at MCO is usually the cheapest.
2) A mini-van for a week (1/19-1/26) is about $450 +taxes/fees.
3) However, you MUST show your insurance card or buy their coverage.

There is a January Car Rental thread on the Transportation board where members post their codes, rates and deals. Very very helpful on that board!

When I first started pricing rental cars for our October trip, it was over $700 for a full-size car for two weeks. About a month ago, it dropped to just over $400 and yesterday it dropped again to $300. It seems like the closer it gets to your dates, the cheaper the rates become.
I am currently looking at rates for our February trip and they are over $600 for 10 days. I'm sure as it gets closer the rates will drop again.

check carrentalsavers.com regularly. I've gotten some crazy good deals through them - like four days in Vegas for $68 total.

I have always done well bidding on Priceline, currently they only offer in terminal rental companies for bid in MCO. The taxes and fees are higher then normal, but you will be able to see a total before you decide and can compare apples to apples with other quotes you have.
