I was wondering if anyone had used the garden grocer or other site to order groceries and supplies ahead of time to be delivered to your disney hotel?

If so where did you order from and did you think it was worth it?

Im considering ordering diapers, wipes, juice boxes, milk and water.

I was thinking of packing most of this in my suitcase but thought it might make it too heavy, so was considering ordering it instead.

I've been thinking about it, but opted for a car rental because we are going to the Universal parks too.
I haven't heard of any bad reviews about garden grocer, just good ones. Wegoshop and Goodings also will deliver your supplies.

Let me know how the service is, if you try it.

I have my order form all filled out, will place it later this week.
I have read good and bad about both garden grocer and wego shop, but decided on garden grocer as I like to see the product, size etc. as these things can vary in the US.
We will have a studio villa, so like to order water, milk, bagels, cereal, juice snacks, etc. to do at least breakfast in room. Water is the big thing with us as a 500ml bottle costs about $2.50 there, and we freeze some and take it with us to the park. Also, the tap water tastes like swamp:laughing:
Will let you know how things work out with them when I return.:)

i think its only possible if you have a us credit card. we tried to order from several places before our trip is disneyland and all we rejected becuase we have a canadian credit card (american express!) hehehe

but it has a canadian mail-to address:confused3

Hi Everyone, we used wegoshop.com this past January and it was great! They were on time and there was no problem with the items we picked. I spoke on the phone with Marge at wegoshop a couple of times and she was very helpful. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We bought water, beer:rolleyes1 , juice boxes, milk, bagels, cream cheese, regular cheese, snacky stuff, apples, fruit cups and I think that was it. It all worked out fine and the delivery charge is extremely reasonable. They also charge you half the delivery if you need a secord order.

Have fun! Suz

I had used garden grocer last May when we wnt to the Coronado,no problems

We used Garden Grocer last summer and will be using them again this coming July. Very easy to order online. No problems with our credit card. We even pre-paid our tip online that way we didn't have to be at the resort if we didn't want to when the groceries arrived. Everything went off without a hitch.

We too have used garden grocer and will be using them again in March.
This time we have family coming so the 3 of us ordered together and will split the delivery/tip cost....it's really and they deliver within a 2 hour window.
I would definitley reccommend them.

Has anyone used the service to have grocieries delivered to your resort? What about a previous poster who mentioned you had to have a US credit card?

We used garden grocer on our last trip and have placed an order for our upcoming trip. Everything was great. We were not in our room when they arrived so everything was left with Bell service in a cooler till we could pick it up.

Is wegoshop the only one that delivers wine & beer?

Garden Grocer does as well. You just post what you want in the comments section. They will then send you an e-mail asking for you to fax them your drivers license.

We used Garden Grocer this past Dec.. Delivered to our door at SSR, just so happened we were there at the time. Prepaid the tip as well with our Canadian credit card. We ordered lots of fresh produce, organic milk, snacks, bread, etc.. We did not order diapers, I chose to pack those. Everything was fresh and it all went off without any problems whatsoever. Have a great trip!

I've placed an order for this March with garden grocer ---started out just some water and now we have 70.00 worth of drinks and treats, :confused3 .lol

I do know we will save a ton on water and drinks.
I'll post back after our trip ,,,,

Hugs Melpirate:

P.S paid with a Canadian credit card and ordered online and the confrimation was sent via email.

I just placed an order with garden grocer for our March Break trip yesterday. I too do not want to lug diapers and baby food in my valuable suitcase space! I called ahead before I placed the order and they guaranteed to leave the food at front desk or directly in our room if we aren't there. The refrig. food will be kept cold for us as well. As for payment, I had a hard time figuring out pay pal to American address. However, my VISA was accepted. I look forward to not spending 2 hours grocery shopping on my holiday!

BTW--When I called, they urged me to place my order ASAP as the delivery slots fill up quickly.

Hello,
For those who have used Garden Grocer, could you please tell me what you think is an acceptable tip amount? 10 percent? It just seems to add a lot to my order (which is already $300), but I don't want to be cheap either.

Thanks!!

I wasn't sure how much to tip either, as they already charge $12 for delivery. My bill was about $200.00 incl. tax and delivery. I tipped $10. I hope that it isn't too cheap.

I have used Garden Grocer three times so far - delivered to VWL, AKL and BCV. They provide wonderful service and great quality too. Even the bananas I ordered arrived in perfect condition - not a blemish on them and just the right amount of yellow. (I have always wanted to use that smilie!)
Bell Services received our order at WL because we were not in our villa yet - but once I called from our villa, they couldn't find it. I called GG - left a message (it was New Year's Day)..someone called back from GG in less than 10 minutes. They gave me the precise time they delivered, along with the shelf and number of bags that were left at Bell Services (and mentioned a bag was in cold storage as well.) I called Bell Services back with this info...'Oh yes, ma'am your groceries are here.' :confused3
I paid using paypal - didn't have any problems - it gets debited from our CDN chequing account. I believe there are less fees doing it this way than charging to a credit card.
Oh, and I realized the day before we left for WDW one time that I forgot an item - emailed GG, they added it with no problems, just had me paypal the amount for that item (or I could have opted to pay the delivery person), and it arrived with out order.
It's so simple to set up the order online and pick your delivery time with GG. I will pay $12 to have someone do my grocery shopping and deliver it to me anyday. I kind of wish I could have them do my shopping at home too.
I plan to use them every trip.
