Any Canadians doing the Marathon in Jan?

DH and I have decided to do the 1/2 marathon in January are there any other Canadians doing it as well?

Thinking about doing the full. It would be my fourth! A co-worker did the full this Jan and loved it! We'll see.....

Yaaaa, more Canadians are coming.

We are from Ontario, just north of Toronto.

I haven't started to train yet, have a few pounds to get off first. I have been walking long distances trying to get my stamina up.

We haven't decided which resort to stay at yet...probably just one of the values since we will only come in for the weekend.

It's an awesome event to be a part of! Our family members who were on the sidelines waving Cdn flags had participants stop and take their pics ... I guess they liked seeing the flags

Someday I will get the MIckey medal to go along with my Donald ... but I'm not sure I'll ever do Goofy

Jo ... can't believe you're getting close to convocating! That's so awesome. You should be really proud of yourself.

I am so excited to be part of this event. There is a huge thread on the WISH boards of people participating in this event. Great supportive group of people....you should all come over and check it out.

Jan 2005 was the first WISH team that participated in the event. We on-line trained together for over a year, and it was a wonderful experience to finally get to meet and hug everyone. I've made some great friends and I was so proud of all of them that did it again this year. There's lots of great info, and they keep the motivation alive, that's for sure! I encourage all of you to join them over there! Tell 'em MaryLiz from Team Canada 2005 sent ya !
