Any Canadian bought AP ?

We bought one, we like some of the perks and go fairly often, well precovid, hopefully we will be going again regularly soon.

We bought our passes yesterday.. we are DVC and had the option for the sorcerer pass but ended up getting the incredi -pass due to the Christmas blackout dates… we have three trips planned (Easter 2022, Christmas 2022 and March break 2023) which we will be able to use the passes for…we do 8-10 day trips and priced it out and it was still cheaper to do this pass

I have Recovery AP (…I was able to purchase an AP at the previous price because my AP expired last Nov and I did not renew at that time) I’ll be activating in 2 weeks! WDW has been my only trips since 2019 🤣 (got in 5 trips on my 2019-2020 AP) Until world travel opens up…more WDW trips in my future.

Nope! I used to do 2 trips, 10-14 days each and had AP for years. Not DVC so only option was buying most expensive pass as we aren’t DVC or Fl residents. When they doubled price I stopped buying. So instead of 2 WDW trips we do 1 Universal and 1 Wdw! From west coast.
But without Canadian ticket offers and new ticket pricing will have to recalculate prices if we ever decide to go back to 2 WDW trips. Doubtful though as now have Universal AP.

We are very seriously considering it, even at the ridiculous price. We're looking at doing 3 trips from May 2022-Feb 2023, one is 10-11 days, one is 4 days and one is 5 days. I should probably make sure it is worth it but we always park hop so I'm thinking it will be (plus the lack of the 11th day for the longer trip is annoying!) and the merch/dining discounts will be used for sure.

I'm familiar with Universal's AP - how does WDW work for hotels? Do you have to have an active AP to book hotels or if you have the voucher, is that enough? I assume there are discounted hotel rates sometimes?

ETA: yup definitely worth it ticket price wise.

I have a question... How long can it be between when you purchase the AP and activate it? Like if I bought it now could i activate it in May?

Up until September 8th you had many years to use it. Now reports are that you have 1 year from the date of purchase to activate it.

I had to cancel mine during the Pandemic. I probably will get another one, but I need the border to open first. I always fly out of Buffalo.

I also cancelled mine during the pandemic but I just booked a trip for this Nov.2021. Im not going to get a new AP because 1) the huge price increase & 2) I have other travel plans for 2022 and if I get an AP I'll feel obligated to go 14 more park days (over the 10 days now) in order to get the value out of them.
I usually fly from BUF, but I got a AC flight from T.O. for $315 CAD. With the exchange rates I don't think I'd do much better out of BUF.

I bought a voucher right before COVID hit but had to cancel the trip it was meant for. As soon as I can go back I'll be activating it though.

I don't really want to go before I can fly out of Buffalo because I don't want to have to do the covid test in Florida before crossing back, I don't want to chance being stuck in Florida for another two weeks. I would prefer to test in Buffalo and regardless of the result I can just drive back across and go home. Right now I have two weeks planned for Nov22 I will probably get one them for a couple of more trips in 2023, hopefully you would think things would be back to normal then!!!

I fly to Florida from Toronto and then fly back to buffalo I have so many credits with southwest right now that I kind of have to because they will expire in March

Where do people test in Buffalo ? Is it the same as Florida where you can go to Walgreens or CVS or whatever ? ( I haven’t really been paying attention )

I didn't test in Buffalo I tested in Florida. I used beeper md and it takes about 30 hours or so to get results so testing the day before you leave would mean you didn't get results until you were in buffalo.

Ohhhh ok . That makes sense. I’m hoping to go in January and we are just looking into all options at this point . Thanks .
