Any Campers?

Bruce and I camped once at the Fort. We would go again in a minute if Bruce was healthy enough to do it. Walkers and campgrounds are not a good mix.

You should do the cabins! You get the atmosphere, but with the benefits of a full kitchen, charcoal grill, cable TV, and DVD players :thumbsup2

There's a link in my siggy for more info on them hehe.

If anyone is tent camping, just know that the "sand lot" is compacted sand & like sleeping on the road. We were able to pack our tent, air matress, & electric pump in one suitcase & sleeping bags in another & flew on Southwest. The other two bags were for clothes. It is the most beautiful, relaxing of the resorts. There is enought to do there, you'ld never have to go to the parks. I'm telling our two little boys that we are going camping, but not WDW. Then, we'll take the boat over to the castle for the surprise. Can't wait to see their faces when they realize where we are.

Hubby wants a hard side bad so we will be getting one soon but we're too far to take to Fl. would take days away from the parks.

big time FW camper here!!! Have done the cabins (TOTALLY AWESOME) but actually prefer tenting. Am currently trying to stir up interest for a full-on whole fam damily visit during spring break in 2012.:goodvibes

I just discovered the DisBoards. We're planning a trip to the campground in February, and can't wait. We're usually state park campers with a backpacking tent, so it's going to be a bit weird mixed in with all the huge RVs. We did get a larger tent, but still won't be outfitted like some of the campsite photos I've seen! (That we're flying is going to cramp things a bit, if nothing else.)

We go camping often, as long as there's plumbing nereby - don't do the primitive thing well. Have stayed in the cabins, and if we don't get a TT by the next time we go we will be tenting it. I love FW, and so do the kids.

We were planning to drive down and camp next May, then found out that vacation time that month was not available. There's September, but that seems a little warm for my blood. Maybe later!
