:santa: Where will you Dine on Christmas Day?

Just curious. And some may call it brave and others may call it plain dumb.
I just want to be there Christmas Day again. I just booked this am and I am a little excited to plan another trip...I am addicited to that sort of thing...it gives me something to look forward to...another goal!

:santa: We go December 23 - check out 29th:santa:

princess: Staying at Grand Floridian - just a DREAM COME TRUE- Hear it is gorgeous at Christmas and plan on being at the resort more than the parks anyhow-:cloud9:

Will probably eat a nice dinner on Christmas Eve- looking for ideas _ ( which is why I posted this )

Christmas Day- same thing...I think...maayyyyy be Magic Kingom parade and fireworks. I don't know???

A. I can't afford the rooms during that holiday season:santa:
B. Crowds are crazy:eek:
C. No discounts
D. I can't spend Xmas away from friends/family:sad1:
E. I can't afford the rooms during that holiday season

Going 12/20-12/26.

Staying at All Star Music-because this is a budget trip, got a discount on a package, and there was no campsite available at Fort Wilderness.

Going to MK on 12/23(my birthday), going to Epcot on 12/24, no way are we going to ANY park on Christmas Day!

Eating breakfast at Ohanas, Dinner at Trail's End on Christmas Day.

This is our second Christmas trip to WDW. We were there in 2005, and it was not as bad as everyone said it would be. It did not get crowded until Christmas Eve. We did not go to the parks on Christmas Day because we knew it would be VERY crowded. We went by MK on our way to 1900 Park Fare that morning and even my kids were happy we were not going in. Lines to get in were very long.

If you don't already have ADR's, you better call now! I just booked our vacation last Friday, called dining on Saturday and got everything I wanted except for Christmas Day. Had to go through a few choices before finally finding an opening.

I am so excited for our 1st Christmas stay as WDW. We are beginning at ASMu on the 19th and doing MVMCP on the 20th. Then we check into the Yacht Club on the 21st to the 26th. Spending Christmas Eve at EPCOT no dining plans that day (my DH loves to eat and drink around the world). Christmas Day we are planning on spending the morning at MGM and dinner at Spoodles. We plan on spending the afternoon and evening there on the Boardwalk. Don't want to stress about the crowds so just going with the flow. We are also celebrating both DD's birthdays. One has hers while we are there and the other is soon after we return home. I really can't wait! I think it will too much fun.

We will be there (crazy or not) Dec. 21st until Jan.3rd. :dance3: We are staying offsite in a 7 bedroom home (there will be 15 of us). We wanted to spend Christams together, so a rental house was the best option.
We plan to have dinner at Chef Mickeys on Christmas Eve. Christmas day we will be having a home cooked meal prepared by my mom and grandmom. I haven't had one of her (grandma's) red velvet cakes in years:banana:
I am soooo excited.:santa:

I'm going the week before Christmas. The week of Christmas and the week after Christmas!

Checkin Dec. 17th/ 07 - Jan. 5th / 08!!!!!:santa: :santa: :santa:

CAN"T WAIT.....

Although a Disney veteran, my family & I have never spent the holiday season there. But here we come! We're staying at POP. People think we're crazy, but we're dying to see the park in all of its holiday finery! We've braved the 4th of July week in 90+ heat, so how much worse can Xmas be?! We definitely won't be going near MK on Xmas eve or day, but again, we're just going with the flow. If the parks get too hectic, we plan on checking out the resorts. I saw a show on either the Travel Channel or Food Network about Disney during the holidays & some of the resort lobby decorations are attractions in themselves! Can't wait to see the GF's giant ginger bread house (we're having our Xmas day dinner there at 1900 Park Fare)! We're VERY excited. BTW, anyone having Xmas eve dinner @ Biergarten?

Hello,
Could someone plz offer some advice for us. We are trying to decide when the best time to go would be for us. Our choice is Dec12-16 or Jan 17-21. Im most concerned about crowds, not really holiday decor. My daughter is in a manual wheel-chair so navigating around crowds is sometimes frustrating for her. Anyone to offer advice we sure would appreciate it.

We check into BWV on 12/23 and check out 12/28.

We are flying to FL Dec 21st and staying at the Nick hotel and then checking into WL Dec 24th to the 27th to spend Christmas with the Mouse:santa: First trip at Christmas ever away from home but have stayed at Disney during Thanksgving week twice which it was a bit crowded. Having Christmas eve dinner at Sci-fi (could not get much else) and Christmas Dinner at Whispering Canyon. Had Thanksgiving at 1900 Park Fare and was wonderful wanted to do Christmas eve dinner there but no luck.

We are at POP Dec 23-31. Only reservations we have are for Dec 29th when its our sons bday we're going to spend the day at MK and have dinner at Liberty Tavern. The rest of the time we're just going with whatever. DH doesnt want to spend hours in restaurants over the holidays so if we have to deal with CS meals we will.

The wheels have been in motion in my brain and I recently started trying to find a room onsite 12/25 to 12/30. Only availability is most deluxes except GF. $$$ ouch! I would love to try a moderate, esp. POR or POFQ. Looked lots of other travel sites with the same results. I would love to get away from it all by visiting WDW at Christmas. Good luck to all who are so lucky to have reservations. Maybe I can talk my Husband into it, but it seems more sensible to go another year, maybe 2008.

My family will be there 12/27-1/3. We are staying away from parks on NYE.
We will be at HDDR and then plan to catch FITS somewhere outside of the parks.:thumbsup2

Try around the 45 day mark before Christmas. I was told a lot of people make the reservations but then make upgrades around that time so something may come up! Goodluck!

My Wife and I have gone the week before Christmas for three of the last four years (had to cancel one year because of Katrina) and it's great. We usually arrive on a Tuesday or Wednesday and stay right up until Christmas week. The crowds aren't that bad in the parks during the week, but the crowds start to swell on Friday leading into the weekend. People in wheel chairs and their families are given preferential treatment as far as waiting in lines for things. I've never been in January, so can't help there.

have a great trip,
Joe

I'm checking in on Dec 18 at the POFQ and checking out on Dec 27.

We chose the FQ for a few reasons. It will probably be packed when we're there, and since it's a smaller resort we're hoping it won't be as bad as others that hold more people. Because it's a bit smaller it means we won't have to walk a long distance to get to our building, the pool, or main building. The atmosphere seems nice too, and the boat to DD is a big plus for us...we love the Earl of Sandwich

I really don't know what we'll be doing as far as parks and dining goes, but I was hoping to get to Epcot on Christmas Eve and the MK Christmas Day. This might be a bit insane, but I've never been at Christmas so I have no idea just how insane this idea might be.

I also wanted to say a big hello to Charleyann :wave2: A fellow east-coaster...who will be there during the time my family and I are there! How often does that happen?!
