(Prologue: I lost the dog who I dearly loved six weeks ago, and my other very old dog has health issues and yet, being the big softie that I am...)

Friend of ours who is divorcing and has to to move to a nodogsallowed apt. has begged me to take her B.T. I have a long history with dogs, most recently with hounds, but this B.T. is something else!

He's house trained, crate trained, neutered, good with kids but typical terror of a terrier (and from a backyard breeder)! He's on "probation" for two weeks, then it may be B.T. Rescue. Convince me that a B.T. is the dog for us, please!

I had a Boston Terrier for a sister growing up. I think my brother, sister, and I honestly thought of her as a sibling at times. I can still tear up missing her at times. She was a great dog! She was a great family dog and very tolerant of us.

I have 2 and they are the love of my life. My kids 19 & 20 grew up with them. I miss my kids and my bt's playing together. My kids pretty much aren't here much and my dogs are now elderly(12).

Dolly and Duchess are the most loving, loyal, and ready to play dogs that I've ever seen. We take daily walks together and I get complimented on how well they behave. They are my constant companions and it scares me that they won't be with me one day :guilty:

Please keep your boston..you won't regret it one moment.

We have a 16 week BT and WE LOVE her. She is turning into the best little dog I have ever had. I would not hesitate to have another one.

My Dad has a B T and they really are lively little dogs!! She is my Dad's baby and they do everything together!!! She seems to be a very loving and loyal pup and he loves her dearly. I do babysit when they go on vacation and she chases my 3 cats for the first day or 2 then they settle down and play together. As a matter of fact Dolly will be coming to Aunt Debbie's to visit for 5 days on June 13!! :dogdance:

We had a Boston mix growing up. She was a sweetheart. Loved her to pieces and I have to say that she was a great little dog.

I have two (see my siggie) and I can honestly say that I will never be without a Boston. They are the best dogs. My Oreo is so sweet and loving. She has never been a day of trouble. Coral on the other hand is a firecracker. She is only two and has quite a bit of energy. She tore up a few shoes and things that I left out but she has come around. She is a very good listener and knows when she has done wrong before I do. I can come home and before I've had a chance to check for damage, she slinks out the doggy door and wont come in until I forgive her. Bottom line, they are great dogs and I think if you will give it a chance, you will fall in love.

 Jacob our current BT is our 2nd. My beloved Winston Churchill passed away three years ago and I still miss him every day. These are the best dogs you will ever have.

They are active and playful but also love to snuggle and cuddle. They have two speeds full throttle and passed out. They need a certain amount of down time.

When we lost Winston our house was just not the same. Jake has helped to fill our void.

These are loyal, spoiled, and very loving dogs. They enjoy the companionship of their families and like to be included in everything. They do not like to be left at home. Ours have been spiteful when left home so kenneling is necessary.

Jake snuggles in bed with us everynight. Watch out for the snorring. WOWsers is he loud. He is a good boy and easily trained. They can not take very hot or very cold weather because of their short noses. I can't picture our family with another breed of dog.

Hope you are falling in love.

We have one (my avatar) and are looking for another.

He is an absolute member of the family, has no idea he is a d-o-g! He is a great companion and is a sweetie with the kids and our two cats. He wimpers when any member of the family leaves in the car without him and is always cuddled up with whoever is sitting on the sofa.

Since BTs aren't technically terriers I don't find them to have the same hyper temperment. They are definitely playful, but aren't "on" all of the time.

Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born and I have never seen a more affectionate and good-natured dog than our Boston paw:

Wow do I second this!!! Bethany Snores LIKE CRAZY. I use earplugs. Now, THAT is  wearing earplugs so your BT can sleep with you!

Thanks everybody, he's still here, but still on probation. Previous owner thought it was "fun" to let him attack the vacum, but didn't tell me that, so yesterday when DS was vacuming, dog started going crazy, I took his collar to crate him and he bit me. Fear/frenzy response, but I still wasn't happy about it. Don't blame him, blame the upbringing! Am working with rescue to make him feel safe, yet make him aware of his place (low) in our pack. We'll see!

Love everyone else's pictures of their Bostons!

I know this thread is older but I just wanted to say that Boston's are the best dogs ever! They are such companion animals. We have two, Desi, and Lucy and they are both absolutely wonderful.
