OMG, the last date I see is August 16! Is anyone there? We got our power back during the night. One of the last areas in southeast Michigan. Had to postpone a going away party until tomorrow (son going in service, boo hoo). Glad I hadn't bought the meat yet!

Talk to you guys later, need to empty the frig and freezer.

Welcome Back

I'm glad to hear you have your power restored. Kinda scarey with some many people, all out at the same time. How is your water situation? We've been hearing on the news about power being restored, but people still not having adequate drinking water.

There's at least three counties that get their water from Detroit and we are being told to boil our water through Wednesday. I'm asking my SIL to bring us some bottled water to the party tomorrow...can't find much in the stores around here.

My son is going into the national guard and will train as an MP. His unit has been called to Wisconsin and awaiting orders. I hope it is not Iraq or Liberia. He will follow in January.

Glad to see you soccer mom! If you run out of water there, feel free to pm me and I will tell you where to get more in Oakland county (my town has its own well so we were never out of water). Add four counties to that list as I will be hauling water to work (Genesee) until they get this problem taken care of! Believe it or not, Flint gets their water from Detroit!

Best of luck to your son, I will pray he gets a nice stateside appointment.
