Any bank bonus offers out there?

I know banks sometimes offer an incentive to open a new account. This year, DH and I have each made $125 opening new accounts at Chase. Anybody know of any current offers? Love that extra money to put towards a WDW trip!

Question for you. Are you going to open accounts at several banks just for the perks? Will you keep the account open after you get the perk? Just wondering. I can't imagine having my money in several banks at one time.

I've done it, before -- like everything, you just have to keep an eye on the extra accounts and manage them, as needed.

The Key offer sounds pretty tempting - given that banks are offering fewer and fewer "deals" to get new customers on board.

Question for you. Are you going to open accounts at several banks just for the perks? Will you keep the account open after you get the perk? Just wondering. I can't imagine having my money in several banks at one time.

I opened a savings account with TD Ameritrade to get a $100 bonus after 12 months of scheduled deposits. It doesn't bother me at all to have a few thousand in a different bank - you just have to keep track of the account, as a PP had mentioned. We have accounts with a credit union, Key, HSBC and TD Ameritrade - within those, we have a holiday savings account, a vacation savings account, three checking accounts, etc. As long as you keep track of them, it doesn't matter at all.

The only account, though, that checks and bills are actively paid with is our household checking - that one I keep a verrrry close eye on. Had to take DH's ATM card for that account away and have a debit card on another account that we keep a few hundred in for him to play with. I couldn't STAND trying to balance the checking account and trying to find his withdrawal and debits -

So multiple banks, yes. Multipled active checking accounts for bill paying, not for me!

I personally opened my acct at Key because I'm tired of Bank of America and I'm looking to switch anyway. I don't think I would open an account with a bank just for a perk, but I don't know...depends on the perk, I guess! I do know that as sick of BOA I am, I won't close it until I'm sure that Key is where I should be....

I have been saving for Disney for 2 years. Every 3 months or so I change to a new bank for the offers! I check out ibankbonus.com it will tell you all the bankdeals out there. You can also use icardbonus.com to find deals for opening credit cards.
