Any Balto Md people?

I am so with you.

I live in Cecil County, almost to Delaware. We were predicted to have trace to an inch. My mom is in the hospital in Baltimore and we came down to visit. Then the snow started to get bad so we left. We saw several accidents on the beltway and took rt 40 north to get home. Got stuck on 2 hills. Travel was terrible.

We have more that 3 inches of "trace" snow outside.

Glad you made it home safely. Heard 95 is still a parking lot.

Took my DH an hour for what is a normal 12-15 minute drive.
I work healthcare, so have been "on call" all day today. Luckily they passed me for today, with the understanding that I will more than likely have to be there by 7 am tomorrow---ICK:headache:

oh please tell me it won't be like this in march!!

my mil lives in havre de grace and said she had a lot of snow. what a olt means, i dunno.

also 95 is horrible!! we went to DC the tuesday before thanksgiving...4 hours to get home! i'm so glad i went to the bathroom before we left. lol

It better be OK by March, or I'm movin. Seriously...I haven't lived in the area my entire life, but from what I understand these huge snows are not the norm.

And traffic the Tuesday before Thanksgiving was terrible. My DD and DH were on a school bus from DC that day. Took them forever. I remember that because I was stuck entertaining my MIL.

My goofball husband and equally goofy brother decided to go to the tattoo parlor tonight for my brother's appointment. It's down by Ft Meade and we're in Halethorpe. I think this snow is ridonkulous, I HATE snow. EEEEVIL. I wanted to go to the mall tonight but there's no way I'm getting in a car tonight. People around here don't know how to handle the snow.

Have they plowed up your way yet? They said the main road by me isn't really plowed yet, but the highways look ok.

I just saw on the weather channel, that 695 is still a mess--15 min to drive 4 miles. My boss took 2 hours from Bel Air to Catonsville area.

We went through Havre de Grace on the way home. I am guessing 6 inches a few hours ago. the problem is the road crews weren't expecting this because it was way more than predicted.

My kids both went to University of Maryland in College Park. Any time they came home for Thanksgiving, if they were driving or I was, it was always a nightmare right before the holiday.

Ewww. Yeah, I'm glad I'm not on the roads. Luckily they only have one exit on 695 from 295. I'm hoping they get home at some reasonable hour, but it is kinda nice to have the house to myself lol

DH just got home from the Eastern shore. He was involved in an accident on Rt 50 on the eastern side of the Bay Bridge. Not his fault. No one hurt, thank God! He said the roads are bad and there are accidents everywhere.

Catonsville here- had to go to Glen Burnie to pick up DD's cousin to spend the night- it was a HOT MESS!! 695 wasn't even cleared off- saw about 5 accidents!!:scared1:

I work near Catonsville--have to be there by 7 am for a few hours to make sure everyone shows up---YUCKKKKKK!!!!!

My in-laws drove in from Pennsylvania today. We've told them for years that this area can't handle snow....they were amazed at how many accidents they saw on the Beltway. We're getting socked here by the Bay.

I'm stunned they were so "off" on this storm.

I am in Woodbridge, VA and, yesterday they changed our accumulation from 1 inche to 2-4 inches. Some stations said 3-6. I would say that right now we are at about 5 inches.

I'm just shocked that you folks in Baltimore have so much. You were supposed to be on the northern edge of the storm and get little to nothing. So what the heck happened???

Earlier this week, someone forwarded this website to me. It's maintained by a Science teacher in Baltimore County and apparently he has a ridiculously spot-on record of being right about the weather. On the day I got the forward I read that he was predicting a snowstorm for Baltimore and surrounding areas that would be similar to the one we got just before Christmas. No one else was saying anything else like that and I just deleted it. I'm a believer now! :lmao:

Here it is if you want to take a peek: www.footsforecast.org

We currently have about 4 inches and still coming down strong!

If you find that answer, please let me know:headache:
Earlier in the week, they said anywhere 6-12, but those numbers kept dwindling as the week progressed. Thurs they called for "maybe" an inch, and then yesterday afternoon changed it to 2-4 on some stations. Others were still saying we would be totally missed.

I don't think the road crews prepared at all. It would have been hard to prepare. Once it started snowing...It just pounded down...just looked out and it has finally slowed.

Everyone keep warm and stay safe, I left Baltimore (Lansdowne) 5 years ago for Florida and I can tell you that I don't miss that kind of mess. Thinking sunny thoughts for you guys.
