Any attractions that do not allow flip flops?

Despite my best persuasion and enticement to buy Tevas or similar sandals, DD remains firmly attached to her flip flops. She will (grudgingly) wear her sneakers, though, if there were attractions she'd miss otherwise. I can't think of any attractions in the four main parks that require more secure footwear, but figured I'd check...

The only one that had that requirement that I am aware of was the Skyway, which is no longer there.

If I'm not mistaken (which I very well might be) when we went to DL last year, they weren't allowed on Soarin'

very possible, that wasn't open when I was there last.

You can leave them on the floor on Soarin', they will be there when the cars return.

Be careful. Last week we were on the platform for Space Mountain and a woman started yelling. Her sandal dropped under the track when she was getting into the car. Luckily they had a stick with a grabber on the end and were able to retrieve it.

I've worn flip flops on every attraction at WDW including Soarin, without any problem at all.

I was told to leave my sandals on the floor during Soarin', and I got a thrill from flying barefoot. They were right where I left them when we landed.

LOL, isn't that the most amazing feeling to fly barefoot :) I actually just stuck mine in the netted basket under my chair. It was fun to look at all the barefeet hanging above us!!

Well, last year I wore tennis shoes on Soarin' but you can bet this year I'll be riding barefoot! I'll be sure to bring flip flops on my Epcot day! :thumbsup2

haha, I'm thinking the same thing, and i HATE flip-flops! It would be worth it to be barefoot on Soarin', though!

When I used to take youth groups, I totally forbid flops for anywhere except going to the pools and water parks. I did not want to be responsible for any foot injuries that occur with flops. Such as clumsy girls tripping, toes smashed and feet getting caught in small spaces on the ride buggys. Not to mention the feet will be much more sore than with cushioned shoes. Have you ever seen a teen girls mood when they are tired and their feet hurt. I did not want any part of that.

I wore flip flops throughout my entire trip last July and didn't have any issues. Just leaving them on the floor at Soarin'. I have to agree with the previous posts...it was pretty cool flying barefoot.

I think it would be funny if Soarin' started by showing some flip flops falling down as part of the scene we're seeing. People might think it's theirs. LOL!
