Any artist's on the DIS?

I want to have some of my daughters jeans painted.. any one on here know how to do it? Something like this...

I'm not sure how well it works on denim, but what you could do is go to a craft or office supply store and buy special "paper" that they sell that is for iron-on decals. The sheets go into your printer like regular paper, then you can iron it onto fabric.

They sell it for both light colors and dark colors.

I like the painted on ones better. It just stays longer when you wash them

They make stiff embroidered ones you can hand stitch on. Usually you can find them in a craft store or online.

I was going to suggest you look at etsy.com but after searching there it looks like that's where you found the picture of the jeans you like. ? I think if you want painted jeans like that you're going to have to pay for them on etsy. I would say that your chances of finding someone here who would be willing and able to do it cheaper (or for free? not sure if that's what you're asking for) are pretty slim. But good luck in your search and I hope you're able to find something you like!

The only suggestion that I can make is to post this on the Creative DISign board, and see if one the DISigner's would be willing to make a piece of clipart for you to buy some iron on transfers so that you can print it off on your printer and iron on the jeans. May not last as long, but it's just a thought. It's probably the cheapest way of achieving what you want to do without costing a great deal of money.

I can totally understand that. I have to get DS a certain kind of jeans too. If you don't have any luck on the DISign board maybe you could contact the person on etsy who painted those other ones and see if you could arrange to send your own jeans to be painted on.

Jeans with kids is a tricky thing. I hate that!

I think thats what I am going to have to do. Was hoping someone on here could do it or knew someone who could..
