What specialty are you and what do you wear to the office? I am a RN now but will be an ARNP very soon and will be transferring from the hospital to a office and will need to change my work attire....

I work in a office as a nurse practitioner. My specialty is pediatric surgery so we are pretty laid back. Most days it is dress casual. My one bit of advice--wear comfortable shoes. I am on my feet nonstop all day and comfortable shoes are a must. Can you check out the office where you're going to work and see how everyone is dressing? That would probably help you the most.

When I worked in internal medicine, I dressed office casual, always comfy shoes.........now I work outside of an office seeing patients in nursing homes, and its casual, comfy shoes very important.

what kind of practice will you be working in?
