Any Amazing Race Fans!?

This is one "reality tv" show that I really like. This is must see tv!! I was beginning to think they weren't going to air this season as Survivor has come and gone already, and usually they run close to the same season. I will most definately be watching this Thursday ~ I will have to get used to it being on Thursday instead of the normal Wednesday nights.

**oops! I am just so excited for this show to start I misspoke. I said I will be watching this Thursday, but I meant to say NEXT Thursday!!

I am a big Amazing Race fan. I must say I would choose it over Survivor. However, the first episode is May 29th, which is NEXT Thursday.

Love this show !!! I enjoy how they have the equalizer of waiting for a plane or some attraction to open ... keeps it more suspenseful since just because you have a big lead doesn't mean you're going to keep it !!! Great for the summer viewing season !

Amazing Race is my favorite reality TV show. I love how it has all the elements of good tv: relationships, excitement, suspense, humour, etc...

At our house the world STOPS when this show is on. It is by far our favorite reality show on TV and the best one in my opinion. I too love the fact that so much of the show depends on timing and not just conniving......

This is the BEST reality show on, even beating Survivor! It is so unpredictable and it's a great geography lesson for the kids. Finally something that the entire family can sit down and watch together! I've got my calendar set!

Oh you made my day..I had not heard that it was going to be on again...my absolute most favorite show and my 7 yo DD loves it too...we talk about all the places that they go to so i convince my DH that it is educational TV...

My favorite team ever was the two guys who always seemed to get the hotel clerks, travel agents etc in high class places to do stuff for them for free and get them booked on the best flights, transportation to the airport, nice places to sleep etc while everyone else was bustin their hump doing the scut work these two guys show up freshly showered and smellin like roses!!!!!

Can't wait for this season.....

I actually think the show could do better if they let the teams spread out a little (of course production costs can't let this happen). As it is now, the winner is whoever gets the cab first after the last road block. Or at least make the final road blocks really hard so they can spread the field a little.

I too love this show.
However, I don't like how they are allowed to catch up on planes/trains. It didn't bother me until last season, where Flo was whining and complaining so much that she wanted to quit, etc. etc. and they ended up winning - IMO due to the fact they were younger and therefore much faster for the sprint to the tower in Seattle. Actually Zack deserved the whole $1M to put up with Flo!
They sooooooo didn't deserve to win! (because of her!)
Even though they cannot space them out, they should prorate the time that people checkin at the airport and then the others should have to wait that amount of time at the other end. I'm not saying the whole amount of time but at least give the first ones there a little bit of advantage on the other end. It's not as bad when they catch up at the attractions, because they have to find something, but on a plane or train - they just sit!
This is the only reason Flo and Zack won last year - when they didn't deserve it......(sorry for the rant!)
Anyway, having said all that - it's still my favorite. Educational TV at it's best!!!

I love Amazing Race! for some reason almost no one at my school watches it, so I always have to call my aunt when it's over to discuss the night's show! I think it's one of the best reality shows on tv...I get bored watching survivor, but Amazing Race is always good.
