Any Airlines have check-in at the Ship?

Was wondering if any airlines have a check-in at the ship. I read US Air had one but
haven't seen any news on if they still do or not. Also, if you take Disney transfer's is
your luggage checked all they way to your airline or do you need to check them when
you arrive back to Orlando Airport. Cheers, Gary

US Air does and so do a few others. We used US Air last month at the port. It worked like a piece of cake. No lines, no waiting....better than curbside check-in at the airport. We had purchased the Disney transfers with our 7 day land and sea. I never touched my luggage after we got to the Phila airport!We received transportation from airport to resort (never touched luggage) resort to port (never touched luggage) however, I did cancel the third leg of the transfers that would take us from port to airport only because our return flight home did not leave until 9pm. We simply got off the boat at the port, found a waiting porter, who asked for our stateroom (the luggage is all grouped by staterooms and seperated by color...so incredable) we located our luggage in less than 5 minutes (all 8 pieces) and the porter wheeled us out front to the US Air "terminal". There, our luggage was all tagged, we checked in and got seat assignments, the luggage was whisked away to the airport. We then hopped the Avis shuttle, rented a car and headed out to SeaWorld for the day.

We too have a late flight6:15p.m. on November 9th, but Spirit Airlines doesnt have a check in at the port. So know we are trying to figure out what to do,, since there is 7 of us. Rent 2 cars and go to DD for the day, or take a transfer to airport, try to check in luggage and spend the day at the Hyatt. I do know I do not want to sit in the airport for 8 hrs

US Air and Northwest have check-in, as well as a few more.

One caveat: If you get selected for security screening, you don't check in at the port. This happened to the wife and I on our recent cruise. We were flagged for security screening, so we had to load all the bags onto the bus, carry them to the ticket counter at the airport, and have them x-ray'd. Then, we were searched at the ticket counter. It wasn't Disney's fault, but it sure was frustrating!

This makes two times I've paid for the transfers, and had to carry my bags through the airport on the return trip. GRRRRR!

Oh well, it was still a fantastic cruise!

Why was it Disney's fault, that you were flagged for security screening?

Think He meant to say it wasn't Disney's fault. They have nothing to do with Security Checks
with your luggage when heading back to airport..

randytenn - The same thing happened to us. My DH was very upset that we were chosen especially since we paid for the transfers and we had to handle our own luggage. It was back in 1999 and it was explained to us that DCL was fined for not doing these random checks. The guys were nice to us at the large x-ray machine and then let us go ahead of the people in line at the ticket counter. The man at the ticket counter then put us on an earlier flight so we didn't have to sit at the airport for three hours. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Patty
