We will be checking in on the 12th of this month. I have stayed at the Vistanna resort before but not the villages. Any advice on what to ask for? Thanks

Hi - We stayed at the Vistana Villages May of 2003. We really loved it. The pool is just beautiful....kind of like one big lagoon. One end is a zero entry for the kids and the other is about 5 or 6 feet - there is a beautiful waterfall, restaurant/bar right at the pool. They also let the kids bring in floats if they want (can be rented.)

The villas were very nice. We had a two bedroom. The master had a king size bed with the large jacuzzi in the master bath. The second bedroom had two doubles and there is a queen sleeper sofa. They have a full size washer and dryer, full kitchen, tvs, etc.. I would recommend this place and am thinking of staying here again in the fall.

The only downside for us was that we had a first floor unit...which though it was easy with kids because we could pretty much park close to the door, the unit was kind of dark. When I go to Florida I like bright sunshine streaming through, so I would suggest asking for an upper floor.

Other than that, it was terrific. Easy commute to Disney.....make a left out of the entrance...go a few miles and make a right...which takes you right in to Disney. This is the quiet end of IDrive so there isn't a lot of traffic.

Also...it's about 5 minutes from SeaWorld and there is also a Publix a few minutes away.

Hope this helps!

Heather, thanks for the info. I know the villages are new so there are no "older" areas. We have an invitation to try the place out so we'll be there for 4 nights.

Hi- my family and I stayed there last March. Vistana Villages is beautiful, it is quite a bit smaller than the Vistana Resort, but it is also much newer and there are no bad sections.
My family and I stayed in building 9, ground floor, our condo was very nice and clean. I found that if you go to dollar.com and click on Orlando then click hotels and scroll till you find the Vistana Villages click on that, they have very accurate pictures of this resort and also a nice layout that might help you request a certain section.
There is a nice Publix about 1/2 mile down I-drive and also a mall. Very convenient location, but seems to be away from the huslte and busltle.
The I-ride trolley stops out front of the resort, we took it a couple of times to international drive(which can be very busy) found it to be quite convenient, didnt have to worry about parking, we just jumped off when we wanted and got on wherever we wanted, we also took it to Sea World which was great because it brought you right to the entrance and also picks up there too so no need to park in the parking lots which can be a hassle at times.
Have a great time at the Villages, I'm jealous I want to go back!!!!

Thanks for the responses. Abby, interesting idea about the trolley. We may give that a try.
