Any advice on scar therapy??

I have several keloid/hypertropic scars and was wondering if any of the new "scar therapy" stuff works. I have had them injected with cortizone which works great for a while but they often come back plus it is expensive and insurance won't pay.

Any help would be appreciated

i used the mederma on one of my scars ...started it right after the stitches came out..it worked a bit,,i think!

I used tape on my last surgery and it seems to have worked, or maybe it was just the surgeon's skill? Whatever, it's a better looking scar than the one from my gallbladder surgery.

I've always heard that people are genetically predisposed to keloids, but not sure if that's correct. Good luck to you!
