Any advice on buying annual passes for out of state folks?

We are going to purchase annual passes when we check in April 17th. We are not Florida residents. So does anyone have any advice as to where and "how" to make these purchases? Are the prices going to be the same online or in person at the front desk? Or is there any place like Undercover Tourist where you can get a better price on AP's?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Here is the only way I know to get discounts on APs for us plain folk.

Go to Undercover Tourist through the Mousesavers Link. Buy the most expensive pass that costs "less" than the annual pass you want to buy. There will most likely be about a $30 discount on that pass.

Then when you get to Disney, use the passes you purchased through the turnstyle.

Then, go to the ticket booth outside the gates. (Those folks are the most knowledgeable about tickets and won't mess it up.)

Tell them you want to upgrade the tickets to an Annual Pass.

Since you have used the ticket in a turnstyle, that ticket automatically becomes worth full gate value as if you were purchasing it at the gate.

You will only pay the difference between full gate value and the cost of an annual pass to upgrade, thereby receiving about a $30 discount.

If you are not getting the Mousesavers newsletter, go to www. mousesavers.com and register for their monthly newsletter. It comes out on t he 15th of each month and the special link will be in the newsletter. (We are requested not to share the link on a public forum.)

Thanks so much Carol! You really are the "all knowing one" when it come to Disney World and Fort Wilderness! I really appreciate your help!

Are you a DVC member? If so, you provide the TTC agent with your membership card and you get annual passes at a reduced rate. :thumbsup2

Christy, if you live in an area serviced by AAA South (FL, GA and Middle/Western TN), they typically have the best prices on AP's for non-FL residents. I looked into doing either the Mousesavers way like Carol described, or going through AAA South. Price IIRC was very similar, but I went with AAA as it was one step. You buy an AP voucher there, and when you get to Disney you go to any park customer svc window and activate it. The "clock" starts ticking when you activate it at the park.

If you are not in a AAA South area, I would recommend the Mousesavers approach.
