Hi All

Any advice on booking a last minute trip to WDW are there any secrets out there? I am looking to travel 5/31-6/3 and was curious if WDW or travel companies that offers any last minute deals if I wait a week or two before leaving to book. I am wanting to stay on property preferrably in one of the moderate or luxury hotels. Thanks for any help and advice.

Try the "Rent/Trade" board on these forums and see if you can rent some points
from a DVC member. Some of the points expire at the end of certain months
and you can rent "leftover" points pretty cheap sometimes. My DH and I took
an inpromptu trip last Jan., stayed at OKW for three nights for the equivalent
of only around $70/night. That's cheaper than the Value resorts. We didn't
go to the parks, just wandered all the resorts and DTD. It was HEAVEN. Go
and have a BLAST. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Other than that though, there really isn't "deals" for WDW. I looked awhile back too, and found that Disney doesn't do deals for last minute travelers because they can easlily book up there rooms. You could look on travelocity too. I think they have Disney resort rooms as well. I got the best deal through AAA.

I haven't seen any deals "last minute deals". Our first trip was planned in 3 weeks and we had a ball. It was all so new.

I have seen a few deals on Travelzoo. But I'm not sure how good they were.

We booked last-minute and couldn't find any special deals on the rooms, but we did get a great deal on flights which really helped.

I dont konw of any "deals" but I would offer a suggestion if you don't mind. Don't plan anything you wont be able to afford on short notice. My BIL needs a long period of time to save money, tried to do a last minute trip and ended up having to cancel half of what he had planned becasue he just could not afford it.
I usally book well in advance, but were taking a mini little trip this Oct. (I am the only one who knows so far...it's a surprise) and I am having to be careful not to over plan money since I am having to do this without anyone realizing the money is missing.

I do agree if you can find someone with expiring DVC pts that you may get a discount...a huge discount. But if you looking for a break on regular rates AAA would be the place to go. I don't think I would wait to long to book tho. I would hate tot think you may not be able to get what you want/can afford becasue you waited for a better deal that never came!

What ever you do...have a great time!

I totally agree that it can get expensive to do this last minute. My friends and i needed a break away from our husbands and children and thought it would be a good getaway. I am currently waiting on the DVC rent/trade board to see if my message will get posted and maybe find something there.
