Any advice for meeting Jack AND Sally?

From what I've read here and what the schedule appears to be on the Disneyland app, Jack and Sally meet together for only a small portion of the day. The app shows Jack's schedule as 9-11 am and 12:15-3 pm and Sally's as 9:40-10:20 am and 12:55-1:35 pm.

Does anyone have any advice for me on meeting both while minimizing the wait? Does Jack's line build quickly at park opening and stay long? Will we need to be there at opening and wait until she appears? Get in line and keep letting people go ahead of us until she comes out? My 8 year old really wants to show her his surgery scars so I need to figure a way to make it work! And yes, I realize that the answer may end up being "just wait in line." My concern is that her meeting time is so short that our wait time may be longer than the length of time she appears. (If it makes any difference, we plan to try to see them next Tuesday morning. We will be at DL for EMH both Tuesday and Thursday so we could potentially check it out on Tuesday and then do it on Thursday but I hate to put it off and miss them since we missed them at MNSSHP and on our Disney Cruise last year. Sad sad sad.)

I would probably opt to get in line before she arrives and then let guests go past you until she gets there if you get to the front. Whenever I walked by, there was always a fairly good sized line for Jack with or without Sally, so I don't think there is really any way to see them without having to wait. I would head over there before 9:40 am and check with the character greeter (there should be one there) and make sure that Sally is appearing (and at what time).
