I called WDW at the beginning of this month to start planning our wedding. Due to both sets of parents having work related problems with attending everyone could only get together on January 3rd, 2006. DH2B and I have to have it during our christmas break since I am finishing my degree and he is in pharmacy school, so we absolutely want to have it on this date. The thing is when I called they said that they would get back to me at the end of the week, over two weeks went by and I finally got an e-mail from someone saying that they had tried to call and she listed the phone number she had tried and the person had mistyped it. Well that I understood, I waited a little while and I called back again this past Tuesday... this was three weeks after the first phone call and they said that they would get back to me by noon today. I didn't recieve a single phone call, even though I made sure they had corrected the phone number, nor a single e-mail. DH2B is finding this to be frustrating, he has paid for the room deposit for our honeymoon and is paying for the whole wedding on his own and wants to make sure that he will be getting what he pays for. Has anyone else had a problem like this and had everything work out in the end? He has even talked about getting married somewhere else :sad2:

DH2B is currently working at a pharmacy as an intern, so you can imagine that paying $7000 for a wedding and honeymoon is a huge undertaking on his part. He is willing to do it since he knows it will make me happy, but I really want to help assure him that it will be worth it in the long run.

Sorry about the long post, but as you all know weddings are such an emotional subject!

OK I'm sorry that you having trouble with them it can be difficult to get hold of them at the beginning because they have sooo many enquiries about weddings and only a very few of them turn into actual weddings.

I'm gonna suggest you call them again but this time tell them of your trouble insist that you speak to someone and if they don't let you then I would say that you would therefore like to speak to one of the Sales Directors - do not let them get you off the phone - I know it's a pain and you really shouldn't have to deal with it but at the end of the day sometimes Disney can be a bit complacent, again not saying it's right, but I sometimes feel with Disney that they can be a bit like this.

Let us know what happens sweetie - and please tell your DH2B that it's all gonna be OK - I only know of one bride that has been disappointed in their Disney FTW (and to my mind that wasn't Disney's fault) and out of the hundreds that I know that have got married at Disney in the last 18 months I think that's quite good - so tell him it's all gonna be good.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was able to use your post to explain to him that this is somewhat typical. Due to new circumstances we are going to have to move our wedding up to this May, so hopefully I will be able to get more attention from them since my wedding isn't too far away now.

Once again thank you!

Ashley
