Any "adults" using DDP ever have trouble

ordering off the childrens menu. We have a group going and of course some of the teens do not like the food listed on the adult menu at a few places we all agreed to our meals at. Has anyone had an adult order off a childs menu and was it a big deal? Thanks in advance.

We had some picky teens on our recent trip and a picky 11 year old. They let them order chicken strips and then brought a bigger portion and at the Garden Grill they asked us if we wanted Mac and Cheese and of course all said YES!!. We never encountered a problem!!

The only place we had trouble with DS (10 at the time) ordering off the kids menu was Whispering Canyon. Our server eventually had to talk to the manager so he could order what he wanted. We ate several other TS and had no problems anywhere else.

I tried to order a kids meal for myself off the kids menu (the chicken fingers)
at Kona Cafe and the CM told me I was wasting money because I would not be getting the adult appetizer either.
She helped me through ordering a meal (a basically plain chicken breast) from the adult menu that was wonderful and just like a "big" chicken finger as the CM claimed.

Her advice to me was to always ask the CM what they would suggest, They know what the chef is able to do.

Remember the 18% tip is bigger for the CM on a higher priced meal so they will work with you to order a more expensive meal......

The new computer system allows adults 10 and older to only order from the adults menu, Most places have hidden entrees they dont publish on the menu for Picky eaters, People used to save up there childs points and use them for adult dinners and pay sep for there kids under 10 , But the servers let Disney Know what was going on so They got smart and the computer now knows the difference between adult meals and points, and kids meals and points, so Its harder to order from kids menus , I reccomend Buffett locations so they have a wide choice of items to choose from
