I was wondering if anyone has some experience in this area. Both DH and I both have anxiety issues. And I think DS6 does too. We just came from parent/teacher conference. The teacher said my son gets very worked up if he feels he's falling behind. He also gets upset and cries if he needs to ask for help. She said she thinks he's trying to be perfect and loses it when he thinks he's not. We by no means are pushy parents. We always tell him that it's okay to make mistakes and that everyone does. Any experience or advice would be appreciated.

In most cases anxiety is a manifestation or some other situation. The first ting to do is to try to get to the root of anxiety issues to see if the basis can be addressed.
