Wondering about people's thoughts on a last minute trip. I was waiting to activate my AP in March when I take my bf.

But I'm very antsy and wanting to see the Hocus Pocus show. Thinking about going Friday-Sunday next week. Thoughts? Should I save my AP activation?

I’m assuming you realize an AP does nothing to get you into MNSSHP, where the Hocus Pocus show is performed.

Yes, I know I'd have to buy the party ticket. But I'd also go to other parks while I'm there, activating the AP.

Just making sure, that wasn’t clear to me in the OP. Last-minute trips can work fine, but it is of course harder to get FPs for a handful of attractions and ADRs for many places just a week out. If that doesn’t bother you, go for it.

I guess it depends on how you wanted to use that AP. You will be activating 5 months earlier than planned. If that works out with future trips planned for next year, yeah, sure, go for it. As long as you keep your goals to a minimum in terms of FP+ and ADR's, you will be fine.

Thanks for that reminder. I guess that's my concern - making sure I still maximize my AP. But I also realize I may be waiting to activate it in March, hoping my bf will really like Disney World and want to go back. I'm questioning whether that hope/expectation is a good thing to wait for, or if I should just go on the AP myself now and/or whenever the mood strikes me.

I'm entirely fine taking whatever FPs and ADRs are available. It'll bring back the spontaneous college program days. :)

I'd say go for it, especially since you aren't definite about any future plans. We always make ADRs on day of so don't worry about that, you might not get character meals or BOG but you should be fine with everywhere else. F&W will still be going on at Epcot so make sure you take a day to just munch around the world.

Craziest scenario, I could just go on the Halloween party ticket and not activate my AP. My bf thinks I'm being crazy ;)
