We just returned this evening from our trip, and I wanted to thank all who shared the tip that Antiperspirant works to stop chaffing of legs rubbing together (a real problem for us larger size people). I bought a Men's Power Stick at the Dollar Tree and used it on my thighs to keep them from chaffing and my shorts from riding up (another problem) and it worked great!! I had no problem at all this past week with chaffing or shorts riding up, and it was very hot in Orlando. It is much cheaper than Body Glide, and I can definitely say it works!!!.... :sunny:

Thanks for the tip! I was off to buy Body Glide this weekend and it looks like I should head to Dollar Tree instead.

Thanks!

One question though, should I just get a plain un cented gel or what? I was just looking at the price for body glide too! my daughter and I have the same problems with shorts. Thanks for the tip!

I used Body Glide on your trip a couple of weeks ago and it worked awesome, but is higher price of course. Next time I may try this little trick!

and does this work on the feet too?
It seems to me that there was another thread in the not-too-distant past that extolled the use of antipersperant on one's feet to ease the 'squishiness' of Crocs and similar footwear.

I used a cheap men's antiperspirant called Power Stick which is a white solid, not a gel that I got at Dollar Tree..I had a name brank woman's one here but it seemed so dry, trying to rub it on my legs before the trip I bought a mens one. Be careful not to buy just a deoderant it has to be an antipersperspirant I know. I did not try it on my feet at all, just my inner thighs. One day after we got out of the pool i redressed for the parks and forgot to reapply, boy what a differnce, my shorts stuck to my legs and rode up terriblely as usual so I know it works. Let me mention it was high 80s low 90s heat when I used this. I have not used Body Glide, but it seemed high in price so I tried this nifty trick someone suggested a bit ago...just wanted to share with all, it works on thighs and shorts.... :sunny:

Dang. I bought Bodyglide a while ago for our upcoming trip. I can't find it locally so I got some at our last trip to the mall. Oh well...I'll know for next time!

We always used antiperspirant on our feet when backpacking. Keeps the moisture down and helps prevent blisters. Never used Body Glide and never felt a need to hunt it down.
