Genevive: She glared at Ebony. "You never were the one for apologizing," she said.
Ebony: She cackled, "And you were never one for getting out of the way."
Genevive: She glared at Ebony. "You never were the one for apologizing," she said.
Ebony: She cackled, "And you were never one for getting out of the way."
Genevive: "I'm not the one to back out of a fight," she shot back.
Ebony: "Hmm, you learn something new every day." She shot a fire orb in Genevive's direction.
Genevive: Genevive ducked, but it caught her on the shoulder. She grimaced, not letting Ebony see. "So, regained your strength, I see." Genevive neared Ebony, but not throwing any blows at her. "Too bad it took magic to do that. You know, you're nothing without magic. Take that away and what are you? Everything's special about you. Me? I made myself this way. I don't need magic, unlike you, dearie."
Ebony: She smiled evilly, "Trying to manipulate me are you? Trying to lower my self asteem? That may work with other opponents, but not with me, sweetie. And I have worked hard to gain power with my magic, it doesn't just come with you as you're born." She held her hand out, producing another flame orb, waiting for the right moment to throw it.
Genevive: She smiled. "No, not manipulating. Simply telling the truth," she said with a shrug. "But you were born with magic. You've depended on it for survival." Genevive eyed the flames, but didn't show any fright.
Ebony: "I was not born with magic, I simply grew up with an excellent teacher. Enough about me though. How about you? Your daddy handed everything to you, daddy's girl."
Genevive: "And who was that excellent teacher, Hmm? Your mother? And might I ask, what exactly was handed to me? I was trained like a boy. I worked hard for my strength, mother's girl," she sneered.
Ebony: "You're so oblivious to the truth. Your daddy has always been there for you. And really, Genevive, reusing my wit against me? I thought higher of you. I should really lower my standards, it makes it easier to reach them."
Genevive: "Well, you kind of led yourself into that one, honey. And just an FYI, my father makes me work for what I want. And what do you know, isolated in your castle all day? Magic, I presume? Anyways, I realize you have to lower your standards, because you're too short to reach them."
Ebony: Ebony now realized she was just a couple of inches shorter than Genevive, but no matter. "I learned more than you did apparently," The fire ball disappeared in her hands. Now, without actually touching Genevive, she pushed her against a tree. The tree shook and Ebony released her push.
Genevive: She hit the tree with a thunk, but smiled the pain away. "There's the magic. Your precious magic. I see your time here has made you no less graceful, Eb. But you really shouldn't drag me down to your level. For one, you're too short for my taste. Two, I'm inexperienced with idiocy. You would clearly win."
Ebony: "Oh? I thought you excelled at the subject. Idiocy, if you need me to spell it out for you." She spit back. "Making fun of my height is super lame of you too, silly girly."
Genevive: "Well, clearly, it's getting the better of you. The height thing, I mean. Although the idiocy thing is true too. And, obviously, with your skill in idiocy, you didn't know that I actually excelled in wits, doll," she spit back.
Ebony: "What I lack in height, I make up for in power." With a swish of her finger, Genevive's feet flew out from under her and she landed on the ground.
Genevive: Genevive once again got up, showing no fear. "And there it is again. Magic. What are you without it? Oh yeah, nothing. As I've said before: You can't survive without magic. What use would you be?" She neared Ebony once again and swung her fist at her jaw. Genevive saw blood trickle down her cheek. She smiled.
Ebony: Ebony breathed in heavily and turned back to Genevive. With the flick of her wrist, the blood trickled back up into her lip and the wound shut itself, revealing nothing to show. Now it was her turn to smile, "I don't have to worry about loosing my power, so why waste time pondering that? And if you only have one wit: 'that I cannot survive without magic' I wouldnt say that you 'excelled' at wits." She threw Genevive up into the air and dropped her.
Genevive: "When you bring me down, you aren't bringing yourself up. You aren't any taller, power-wise or not. All you seem to be able to do is pick me up and drop me. How significant," Genevive said, adding a bit of sarcasm in the end.
Ebony: What did this girl want? "Oh, there is much more I can do to you, if you'd prefer."
