Anthing exciting at Swan/Dolphin?

Is there anything exciting to check out at the Swan/Dolphin? I have never visited either. We weill be traveling with a 3 and 5 yr old. Are there any good restaurants?

We've stayed at both and we'll be back at Dolphin shortly. To me, the attraction is the proximity to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk. I find that a brisk walk to any of those beats any WDW transportation. In addition, they've got a great white sand beach and pools for a day off from the parks. As for the reataurants, others praise Shula's and the newest one recently opened, something with 'Blue' in the name if I remember correctly, but we've only hit Tubbi's, the cafeteria style eatery in Dolphin. We like it.

Some say that S/D are not 'Disney' enough in the themeing. I disagree, and how can a place not feel a part of WDW with Spaceship Earth and the Boardwalk in sight?

Try to get a room in the "Far East Wing". We could watch Illuminations from our "Sweet Sleeper" bed. A good thing with little ones especially. Oh yes, don't get spoiled by that bed! Or the oatmeal soap. And using those Swan and Dolphin pens- in coral and turquoise colors at work cheers me up a bit.

I should clarify. We will be staying at the WL this trip but will be scouting out the Swan/Dolphin for fun or futures stays. I have stayed at a Westin before with those wonderful beds. Ahhhhh....

We loved the Dolphin with our 2 1/2 year old in April.. LOCATION LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! Great newly renovated rooms, great pool.... All around great resort!
