I just wanted to say thanks to all of the members who post on this board. I haven't really posted any questions since everytime I've had one (about a dozen times already!) I was able to find the answers by searching previous threads!!!

We took the plunge in Feb (as we were getting 2 feet of snow in NJ) and got our permanant cards today. The feedback I got from reading the posts on this board made it a very easy decision. It is amazing how many minds think alike (my favorite being "My only regret is not doing this sooner") I think I voiced many of the words on these posts without ever having previously read them so I feel real comfortable now.

Maybe someday I'll have a question no one has asked and had answered but until then hopefully I can answer some new members once I have the experience.

BTW Is it normal to be mentally planning out the next 39 years?

Welcome home from a fellow New Jerseyian!! Yes its normal for plan for the next 39 years!! You'll find yourself doing alot of obsessive things ie, checking airline site daily for good airfares, booking and re-booking rental cars until you get a rate that you like, and reading everything and anything on Disney that you can get your hands on. Oh and you'll now find yourself talking to anyone who'll listen about Disney. Enjoy every minute of it!!!

Obsessive planning is not a requirement of DVC....but does seem to be a common ailment here!! And I don't think anyone's looking for a cure!

hi and another Welcome Home! from a fellow New Jerseyan. i know i was contemplating another add-on during our nice little snowstorm too. you can go on travelocity and set up a fare watch so they can e-mail you when fares go down. i was able to get tickets for $129 round trip from newark that way a few years ago. enjoy planning your next 39 years of vacations.

Obsessive planning is definatly something that goes along with DVC. It actually helps you getting your ressies if you can do it at the 11 month window anyway so plan away!
