Why does Disney take all their pitcures in the most un-common size 6x9?
Give me a break...is this yet another way for them to get some extra $$$$$$$$ from us!!!!!

Can anyone tell me where you can get 6x9 frames from

I have 10 photos from our last cruise just sitting around collecting dust
thanks

I agree! I do it 1 of 2 ways....

1. I buy 8x10 frames that allow the picture to "float" in it (if you will) so that it will fit the frame but not need to be matted or cut

or

2. I go to a frame store and make them to fit which can be costly if you go to extravagant on it.

Same here. Also, next time, I'm not spending as much dough in Shutter's.

I had the same thoughts, we had our pictures for almost 9 months before I finally found frames. I found frames at Ritz camera shop. My only complaint there is that I couldn't find matching 8x10 frames.

It's a shame after spending all the money on the photos...yo can not purchase a frame to fit it correctly!!!!!!

5x7 is such a standard size... Where is there a Ritz camera store?

Let's all stick together and make a more verbal complaint to Disney

Yep....maby they will hear us and take it to heart as they did with the soda issue!!!!

Just a side....I thought the pics were 6x8?? I found 6x8 frames at Michael's craft stores.

Yes, they are 6x8.

I went to Michael's Craft Store yesterday and found a photo album binder that holds 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 pictures. They also had the top loading clear sleeves that hold the same size pics. I barely had to trim anything to make them fit. Everything was pretty reasonable too. The album was $4.99 and the 25 pack of sleeves were $3.29. They are really called Junior Scrapbook and Junior Memory Album Page Protectors.

I thought this was a very inexpensive way to store the pictures that I spent so much money on when we were on the cruise.

Michael's store have frames that you can put together. You buy them by the size you need and it takes 2 kits to make a frame. The selection is limited but it's an option. I have also seen these type of frames in some needlework catalogs.

I think it would be cheaper and easier to make a copy of the 6x8 and make it a 5x7, then store or scrapbook the 6x8's. I think that is what I am going to do with them. Somewhere on here...sorry, don't know where....there is a release form so you can make copies. That said, I think Disney should just make the 5x7 size to save me the run around!

You can buy frames on the ship. And if you look, you might find some on sale. We did and we were glad we got them. I just wish we would have gotten more. I think they were $6. A good frame anywhere else would run that or more.

I think it's pretty obvious, they want you to buy THEIR frames... more $$$ for them.

Just a couple ideas about the 6X8 photos....you can always crop (cut) them down to 5X7....I know sounds scary...but it's not that bad. Most photos have "extra" room around the edges that is not needed....of course if your focal point is all the way to the edge you wouldn't want to crop it. Another thought is to mat the photos then put them into a frame...you can easly find a 5x7 mat to fit into an 8x10 frame...and if you look or have a mat cut to fit the 6X8 then put it into the 8x10 frame...IMO matting always adds to the photos and makes them look better anyway.

I was told by Ritz Camera that 6X8 is actually a quite common size for professional photography(albeit not as common as 5X7)--that is why they and their sister Wolf Camera stores have a fairly extensive selection of 6X8 photo albums.
