I have reservations for Yak and Yeti at 5PM in September. The park closes at 5PM. I assume the restaurant is open later, but will they rush us? Has anyone else had a closing time ressie? I'm thinking it will be kinda cool to walk through AK after everyone else has left. --- oh, what about the trams, will they still be running?

Are you sure it is not an "Extra Magic Hours" in the evening?

No, it's not. I read the other thread going right now and that made me double check the calendar. Nope, the park closes at 5PM and my ressie is at 5PM. Maybe I should call dining just to make sure they didn't make a mistake. I made the ressie ages ago and just thought the restaurant was open later than the park, but now I am wondering if that could be right.

I think you might be right and you should call. It will certainly make you rest easier. We are going and we got a 4:45 ressie on an extra evening hours and I swear they said the last ressie available was at 5:30 p.m.

I have ress at 5:00 on Thursday 8/28 and the park closes at 5:00. They told me it's not a problem the resturant closes when everybody is out of the resturant. You will not be rushed. So they said.

I called again and I got this same response also. I hope the cms are right. I think I may ask if I happen to walk past it during the day. I was on allears reading reviews about y/y and someone over their said they had a 5:45PM ressie on a night that the park closed at 6PM. They said they were very rushed and were told the kitchen was closing soon. They had to order dessert at the beginning of the meal and they had closed the upstairs sitting area. Not what I want to do...

It is kind of cool to walk thru AK after closing. I had a 5:45 ADR one night when the park closed at 6:00 (and no, it wasn't EMH) I don't know about the trams since I didn't have a car. Walking out in the dark, though, it's real easy to get turned around-good thing there was a Disney security guard there to point me in the right direction. I finished around 7:30, and they didn't rush me at all. There were still other people eating, and I felt comfortable walking around the resturant taking pictures. And the view walking out was great-

DH & I had an ADR in February at closing time. The food was amaizing but walking through the park with now one else around was so great. We really enjoyed that part.
