May I ask what your discomfort is in booking cash rooms or renting points?

I like being in control of my own reservation. I'm also not too keen on being so locked in, just in case…
I remember reading about all the issues in 2020 and like I said, it's just not something I feel comfortable with. But I'm not trying to convince you not to do it.

The only way I'd rent points is if I was renting a dedicated reservation for maybe a month out.

Also, I never said I have issues booking cash rooms. We have done that many times and in fact, have a trip at GDT booked for next month.

Just had our offer accepted for $192/pt. -- seems really high until you look at direct which is $265/pt.
We had it submitted to ROFR today.
It was not the 'perfect' contract since it is a different use year and it was for 60 points - the other small contracts we own are for 50 points.
If it was for 50 points and June -- that would have been an exact fit.
50 points would have been perfect to make it easy to give to our kids down the road and everyone would have the same number of points.

But BCV contracts with 25-50 points and a June use year are a unicorn.
