We have a day mid-trip when we're not going to the Parks but going to spend the day at LegoLand. We'll be back in time for dinner. Right now we have a reservation booked at Raglan Road, but I'm wondering if I should switch it to Trail's End. I've wanted to try both for the longest time. We're on the Deluxe Dining Plan. 2 adults, three kids and an infant.

Raglan -
PRO - Easy to get to. Love the menu. Sit-down service.
CON - We're already spending time at Disney Springs this trip, whereas we've never been to Ft. Wilderness. 5:30 reservation is earlier than we'd prefer - it might be a rush to get back from LegoLand.

Trail's End
PRO - We can finally check out Ft Wilderness! Buffet menu looks great. Play area. Better reservation time options. (Like 6:30 ish)
CON - It's a buffet, which might be harder to manage with so many kids in tow. Kind of hard to get to.

I'm torn. DH seems to like both equally too. WWYD?

I would choose Raglan Road. Have you tried to get a reservation on opentable.com? You can make a free reservation, perhaps later than 5:30, that can be canceled without a charge.

Raglan Road. No question there! Great food, wonderful service, and so much fun! It's my #1 pick for dining at Disney and it's not a Disney trip without a stop.

I'll throw in a vote for Trails End! We love it! Honestly, the buffet is delicious! and we love being at Ft Wilderness. This is a go-to everytime we are in Disney now

With little kids my DD12 and I say Trail's End. You don't have to wait for your food. Whatever they like you can get more of. It's not as loud. It can take a lot of time to get through a meal at Raglan Road. DD says it is very adult and loud at Raglan Road and she fell asleep last time we ate there. Trail's End has good food and it doesn't seem as crowded/ hectic.

I personally really enjoyed Raglan Road this past trip. The bread pudding is the best on property - maybe even the best I've ever had (and I make a pretty good bread pudding!) Honestly, though, I prefer Rose & Crown. It's a similar style food and I enjoy the aesthetics of eating in EPCOT. Plus I'm part English.

I'm always a fan of trying something new. We were very timid about booking Artist Point this past Christmas. We'd grown accustomed to Narcoossee's and didn't wanna change things up. But, we would have never discovered Narcoossee's had we not tried deluxe resorts or the restaurant itself. We skipped Narcoossee's and went to Artist Point and loved it. Did it unseat Narcoossee's as our new favorite? No. But we found a close second. Plus, Wilderness Lodge, at least during Christmas, is amazingly themed and decorated. It feels like you've stepped right into a ski lodge in the Pacific Northwest.

At the end of the day, it's up to you. It depends on the food you want, the atmosphere you want, etc. I'm always a fan of trying new things, though. Especially if you've been to Raglan a few times already.

We were super excited to try RR because of rave reviews, but we were disappointed and felt it was overrated. The atmosphere was fun, but the food was a let down. Our DD(6) did not like how loud it was.

Lots of activities to wind down your day at Trails End. The buffet isn't a huge one so you won't lose any kids. Also, since the restaurant is smaller there will be less people there than at normal buffets. There is also a playground really close by. After you can always take a boat to the contemporary and watch fireworks from there or stay and do the campfire sing along at the campground.

With the hassle getting to Fort Wilderness I would pick Raglan. I loved the scallop forest. Great entertainment..ALSO you mention you didnt have a good ressie time. You can book Raglan via OPEN TABLE...bet you will get a better time that way

Trails End is priced right for us not on a DDP so I would probably do Raglan Road, this is better use of your deluxe plan. Trails End does have a really good buffet and cheap in Disney costs LOL

I am going to leave the food out of it and say got to TE just to see Fort Wilderness. It is gorgeous. You could make an entire evening out of it, with seeing the horses, having dinner, playing on the beach and playground, and attending the campfire. You could even watch fireworks on the beach. They do close the stables early though so you might miss the horses. Still worth doing.

My pick would be Raglan Road.
Pro: very good food and a fun atmosphere.

Problem with Trails End
Con: It's a dinner buffet. Other than Boma or Biergarten enough said when it comes to buffets at Disney.

i have only been to Raglan Road, but the idea of a buffet with 4 children after an hour and a half car ride doesn't sound fun to me. The food at Raglan Road is delicious. We went at lunch time, so I can't really speak to the atmosphere as there was no entertainment and it was half full. My husband has also requested that we go back.

Raglan Road!!! The food is so good! And the entertainment is fun to watch. And yes of course its loud, ever seen a quiet irish step dance?
