I'm planning a November trip with my family of 5. Likely after Veterans day and before Thanksgiving. I'm hoping that will be a nice quiet time!

It would be DH and myself, DD *almost* 5, DD 3 and DS 1.

1. Am I correct in thinking that we can book any room for 4 since DS will not be counted?
Would any of the mods be better than the others for a family of 5?

2. How much (if any) swimming do you think we'd do at that time? I'm sure it just depends on the weather for those specific days ... but swimming in November is certainly possible right?

So which moderate do you think would be best?

I love what I've read so far about CSR ... but the pool at CBR seems much better for my young kids. Though maybe that should be less important for a November trip!

I'd appreciate any feedback :)

Yes, it's possible. You will know the weather once you're there.

You can't go wrong with any moderate resort. Do you have a preference as far as the theme? I personally like POFQ. I like the New Orleans/Mardi Gras theme.

If you're going with CBR or CSR or POR, my suggestion is to pay a little more to get a preferred room that will get you close to the lobby, store and the restaurant and pool too. POFQ doesn't require a lot of walking due to the compact of the resort.

I'd appreciate any feedback :)

No matter which resort you choose, I know your family will have a magical time!

You are going at a great time. For the last two years, free dining has been offered during your time frame with limited exclusions. Start looking for a free dining offer in late July to mid August!

We stayed at POR when our kids were your kids ages. It was a great choice. Alligator Bayou, where our room was, was just the right distance to Riverside Mill (food) and there were two close bus stops. Every day we enjoyed all the little animals in the landscape on the way to the pool, food court or buses. The entire resort was very relaxing. The pool was great for them too as the slide is very tame.

That being said, I think POR French Qtr is a good option too since its smaller and has a nice pool.

We've stayed at CBR, but it was before the pool was redone. All the clients I've booked there have like it, as long as they were in buildings close enough to Old Port Royale (food court) My husband and I stayed there on our Disneymoon in the Jamaica section and It wasn't a bad walk at all.

Hope this helps. I wouldn't stress over it too much, all the mods are well themed, beautiful and fun.

We stayed in cbr in April and loved it. I think more than likely you would be able to swim and that for your kids, cbr would have the best pool area. We stayed in a pirate room and loved it. They are located in the furthest section from the pool and food court and it really wasn't that far of a walk. We are staying in csr in 10 days so I can't advise on it yet but from my research, it looks nice but I think cbr has a better pool for young kids. One negative about cbr is that the beds are all doubles. It was ok for us but some must have queen beds. All of the other moderates have queens.

I will echo what PPers have said. With the ages of your children, if you do not choose POFQ, I would pay more for the preferred room location. Your kids will love ANY pool!

I think your kids would enjoy AOA. Its new and themed Nemo pool looks amazing for kids your kids ages.;)

You also would have the three section room, where the kids have their own place. Great for mom and dad.:thumbsup2

Anyway you will have so much fun, oh and the Disney pools are always heated.

As fun as the pool is @ CBR I'd probably choose a different mod just for the queen beds. With 5 people I think you'd want bigger beds especially if the kids share. I think your kids would love the dig site and pool at CSR a lot!

have fun wherever you stay :)
