Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I think the December ones were chosen by the Expo staff. But I thought I read that the February ones would be dependent on either reviews or views, but I can't find the specifics.

Hello everyone! :wave2:

Just wanted to introduce myself since I am new to Expo TV. . .I look forward to getting to know you all! I'll have my first videos up this weekend, hopefully. I would love for you to see them - just don't laugh too hard! :teeth:

Hi Goofy Baby!

I have read a TR of yours before. :thumbsup2

Watch out, Expo can be addictive. :goodvibes

I was lucky enough to have 7 of my December videos chosen for the 10 dollar bonus'. Are they doing the same for our January videos? Any idea on when they would be selected?

No bonuses in January, they are doing them for February though.

i did 2 reviews for
50's Primetime and Donalds breakfast safari and they rejected both saying "already reviewed and same or one destination"
I was very confused? i sent them a note asking why?
Is all of Disney one thing now?

It seems they are getting pickier about the Disney reviews. They consider any location in Disney a Disney review. This is new, because I had done many reviews before with no problem. I don't think they realize just how big Disney is. You could never review all of it in one video, unless they want an hour long video where you only touch on everything.

I had them okay just last month a few of the seperate places, epcot, mgm, but then when I tried to do prime time inside they said no, because you must pay to enter the park to eat there. I think I did chef M's and it would through too. Those were my only ones that seemed to have gone through last month for me.

I think a lot of people are experiencing this problem lately. :confused3
I just wish they would make it clear about WDW before my next trip before I waste my vacation time making videos that are going to be rejected.

I could kind of understand if they were to start to reject the WDW restaurants, as they are obviously not "nationally available restaurants" like the rules say. But now people are even having trouble with reviewing the WDW hotels. I really think each one of those that you stay in you should be able to review. They allow any other hotels.

I don't know. . . I just reviewed a bunch of Disney shirts that I got online at disney shopping. So I was able to supply a link for each one. At first they were approving them all, then they started to give me the rejection of "Same as another product approved". . . So I sent them yet another email asking why. . . telling them how each shirt is unique and separate from the others and that the expo viewers should be able to see a review on each one. Isn't that what expo is for???

Same thing happened to me. I reviewed 50s Primetime and POR and was told they were duplicates. When I inquired about it, I received a response back stating that because they were part of Disney, they had to reject since I had other accepted Disney reviews. The state only one review per destination. I disagree, as they ARE NOT included with admission and are optional. They also stated I should cover everything under one review, which we all know is impossible.

They seem to be very picky about that kind of stuff anymore. I usually do one tshirt, one backpack and one lunchbox or the like (just using examples) from disneyshopping vs now doing all of them, even though to me they are different (especially if you get different style shirts or for the entire family just a shirt, not matching ones).

I was doing books the other day and wasn't sure what would happen, it is kind of just a you don't know because they let all the different video games go through, even though it is all for the same system.

I think an issue with hotels is that I saw several reviews where I am about 99.9% sure the people weren't staying there. It is so easy to go to the different hotels and just film, nothing about the rooms being shown. Of course it is hard to do it live and get the whole hotel in. I tend to do most with pictures for anything because of background noise, another thing I get rejected for when we are at say a restaurant or even hotel. It is a bummer though.

We got back last week from disney and I didn't make one new review for there.

Totally agree! I did a carseat review and can't even upload it because it is too long and it wasn't more then 10 minutes. I was being thorough because it is brand new and I know alot of people wanted to see the little things.

I'm kind of sad to hear this. I was planning on knocking out a few reviews while I was in the world, but now I don't think so.

Well, as a consumer, I feel like I am missing out on a lot of awesome Disney reviews because they are being rejected by Expo for "too much of one location." :sad2:

Looking for a Disney resort for our next vacation, I would like to see as many good resort reviews as possible - same for Disney restaurants. I think expo is missing something very important... the success of the DIS board and others like it are based on the fact that there can never be too much Disney. :lovestruc

At least I know now to not bother doing any more Disney reviews. DH was getting kind of mad at me for it anyway. He said he didn't want to spend his time off working (he's a camera guy and I made him tape my reviews.)

I think people as putting the Disney restaurants under travel destinations. That is what I did.

I filmed my reviews back in September and they were all paid $10. :cool2: My husband and I did about 20 Disney reviews including resorts, restaurants, and the theme parks.

I was awarded my platinum camcorder badge this week. You get this when you have 500 videos. :thumbsup2

well I am still waiting for a response from them. I will state that restaurants are not a mandatory thing in the parks and are optional and people would like reviews to decide which is best for them. Then I will take out the NYC attitude. :rotfl2: and be barred for life.

Has anyone upgraded to Vista? If so, any issues with the files being too large to upload?

I went from being well under the 50MB limit on my old computer to now EVERYTHING is well over 50MB.

I've got to be missing something.:confused3
