Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Awwww brivers, thanks for the support, I appreciate it sooo much...(that's not Blue Goose is it??? :lmao: ) but at this point..., what is the point? Or is there a point? I don't know... Thats why I was asking Leslie what kind of a response she got to the public forum.

As "he who knows all" mentioned in one of his many and varied responses (to some poor soul), I am not relying on this for a living, (although it may have meant our first trip to the "Epcot Food and Wine Festival, darn it!!!!") I will get over it and move on and probably should never have counted on such easy money to begin with.......
OR.........
Expo could tell me what was wrong with my reviews so I could do better with the next ones, if there are any next ones.
Anyway, I feel like I have made some friends here and thats better than money, right??? RIGHT?????? You know that's right!!!!!
Thanks again for the support:grouphug:
See in the other stuff I am doing people ALWAYS say that stuff... and usually the people saying that have been with the company a long time and MADE A LOT OF MONEY from them. Look at the quality of "he who mustn't be named" videos from when he made most of the... They suck YOU CAN'T SEE HIM they are so dark they would ALL BE REJECTED by todays standards. He as a long time member thinks he has the base to stand and say we shouldn't count on this for money as he already have and has some pretty "shady" reviews approved for the MUCH higher than $2 rate many of us a complaining about.... Face of the matter is I see that phrase as pure BS. This is a capitalistic world. I did something, I spent time and effort to jump through all of there hoops, I EXPECT them to compensate me and I do believe I should be able to rely on the money they stated for my time and efforts.

People like "he who mustn't be named" with their holier than everyone else attitude are the ones that really annoy me.

and another thing... This just may not be "easy" money to most... You have to get in front of a camera, post your mug on a site so it can be published and viewed by all.... know some editing tricks and know how to use a computer... I believe there are a lot of people who those qualifications would be too extreme for. You have to be outgoing and enthusiastic... that doesn't always come easy.

/end rant

oh and yes we have made friends :thumbsup2

Too bad you can't upload one of your rejected videos to one of the private forums so we could see what they were like. Like I said, there are so many useless reviews up there, most were done pre-August when everything was $5 and all were approved. There are reviews done with people whose accents are so thick or with voices so garbled, I cannot understand them. Go figure.:confused3

Here's to a good Sept. Don't give up. :) tink
You can upload it as a video to photobucket... click the last line of text under the picture and paste it in a message in here.... That is how I got my Office Space vid in here :) I am curious as to what they said was a needless review informative wise.

You can upload them in photobucket and we can watch them there. I've seen a few people who have actually put videos in their DIS posts that way.

I'm personally thrilled that when we ask for Expo's postion on something or want moderator input, all we get is SS telling us 'that's the way it is, no ifs, ands or buts.'

BTW, did anyone see the farewell post over there? It's on the introductions forum. The very first reply was from SS asking if he could have something the OP won. :rolleyes1 :sad2: For all his :snooty: he was the first one looking for a handout and the OP wasn't even offering to give anything away.

Work beacons......... I've got to go.

You are so very right about some of us having a hard time appearing on camera. I am one who NEVER wants a picture taken. I thought I could do a lot of referring to make the $5.00 referral rate but then saw that I had to have one approved before I could earn that. Then I saw the Puritan Grit lady's review which stayed on the opening page for so long and thought, "If that is what they want and she can do it, then I can do it!".
If you see my Pounce Hairball Treatment Video which was approved or the Iams Hairball Cat Food (which I realize now should not have been approved because I did not show the bag), they are very very similar to all of the REJECTED ones. I talk about ingredients, feeding instructions, my own personal observations as to which ones seem to be of better quality due to higher moisture concentrations in some as opposed to other brands which seemed to have higher concentrations of actual food as the main ingredients.
I really think they were just overwhelmed with Pet Food reviews of different flavors and brands, but that is what they said they wanted. I didn't push any limits, I really thought that since they were paying so much for these reviews that they were in need of them and I was trying to accomodate. They opened the doors to different flavors and they set the $10 rate of pay. And they Rejected them all too, so I guess I should just get over it. :confused3
But... Thanks again guys for caring!

Not a problem, but just know that I don't think something like 68 rejections for shady reasons is something you can simply say, "hey kido, try a bit harder next time" that seems like a personal vandetta that a reviewer had out for someone.

There is a reason why I don't like they get final say, period... its because the Incorrect items were all approved by someone!!!!!! Whos to say that certain someone is the one reviewing our efforts.

Yeah I read through that post... The dude that is leaving is the one with that kick *** review of the battle game where he has what appears to be a green screen and does fly overs and stuff. Looking at all the stuff he won in contests, I would have to say damn, he leaves some huge shoes to follow in. "he who mustn't be named" is a piece of work... as some say a tool.

Hahahaha- I decided to make my own videos because of the Purity Grits lady! LOL! Figured if she can do it- why can't I?

Watch, the next thing you know, the Purity Grits lady will be opening her own restaurant. "My only hope is that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a carton of grits." ;)

Forgive me for making my first post a rant....but I have to!

Both me and my husband did a bunch of pet food and other pet product reviews last month. Today, ALL of my DH's pet product reviews come back rejected for "Poor Audio and Video quality". All of the electronics reviews he did the same day in the same way were approved! Tell me there's not something fishy going on there....

I was so excited about expo in July and even last month. We haven't made any videos yet for this month, and while I want to, I don't know if I'm even going to bother. This is just so upsetting :sad2:

Ok I emailed asking them if we had to actually be in the restaurant to do a review being that I have been to a lot of them (hence fat butt in videos :rotfl: ) and could do reviews and this is the response I got.

Reviews of restaurant chains do not have to be done in the actual
restaurant, but if they are not you will either need to show some sort
of identifiable food item from the restaurant or show the outside of the
restaurant itself. Basically we need to see proof that you have been
there and have valid opinions of the chain.

Now I get this but have you seen some reviews...one guy is holding up a take-out bag from Applebees and one guy is holding up a take-out menu from Ruby Tuesday. While I dont begrudge them their videos lets be fair and let us all do this. I could easily go to these places and get menus and review stuff. Ive eaten there and definitely could do a review but why do I get the response of you have to show your food item. Gah.

I know- I know! Steal an ashtray or a cup with the restaurant's name on it!

And when you do hotel reviews- just steal the towels!

Wow, now what do I have around here that I can review? LOL!

Is anyone else having problems logging in to their site? It keeps telling me my password doesn't match, but I know I am tryping in the right one. So then I clicked on the "forgot password" link to have a new one e-mailed, and I don't have any e-mails from them! I was having problems the other day when I pulled up my profile, somebody elses profile showed up. I hope I get my payment OK!

AWWWWW SHOOT!!!!! Today is my Yahoo Group video watch day and now they won't let anyone in to watch my pitiful little 18 videos that they did approve out of the 91 I submitted??????
It's a conspiracy I tell you! They don't like me and don't want me earning any money from them!
68 REJECTIONS yesterday and today nobody can up my watch count!!! Not fair, not fair and I just know that it has to be the fault of......... WWSSD!
I am just going to SKREAM!!!!

I watched this morning and just checked and it's working for me. I loved how you got your kids and cats involved.

:scared1: :headache: ANOTHER BOGUS REJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, did they not say that they want demonstrations in the videos???? So I turned on my Dell speakers in the middle of my review to "demonstrate" the product. They rejected it for "music not allowed in videos". :sad2: This is getting SO ridiculous! So I just sent them yet another email, just like I did for the last several bogus rejections I suddenly started getting yesterday. Not that I expect a response or anything.

Oh - and how convenient that computer speakers were $10 last month and now it's too late to redo them and they are only $2 this month.

Thanks to both of you! I really appreciate the feedback so much. I was really doubting the worth of my videos.

I still haven't gotten responses from ANY of the emails that I sent them so I may just go ahead and take it to their forums. I didn't really want to do that and bring on the "wisdom" of "the expert" but it is either that or just drop the whole thing. This is like $700 or so we are talking about and sure it is money I didn't have to begin with but I 'think' I abided by what they indicated they wanted in reviews so they should uphold their end of the deal. And if there truly are valid reasons for the rejections I would like to learn from the mistakes.
But, thanks again to all for watching and your kind input.
