1. Does anyone know why some reviews you are watching stop and start a couple times per review? Is that a site issue or a problem with your video?

2. Also, what happens if, when you preview your submitted pending review, it suddenly ends in the middle and then goes back to the beginning and you never get to see the complete review? Do they keep those up there or are they rejected? Actually, I have seen many like this on expo that have been approved. I wonder if it happens because Expo cut you off before your upload was complete. It's kind of a bummer when you have something to say about a movie or product and people only hear half of the full review. I'd rather resend it, but they don't leave us that option once it is accepted.

This same thing happens to me too. Maybe that is why they are doing maintenance? There site is very cumbersome to view and even locks up my computer some times.

Me too...uploaded my last 8 for the month and got 19 approved in the last hour or so. I uploaded all of mine this week.

Did anyone else try to view their video status from their profile? For me, the "my videos" is gone??? I wanted to make sure none were declined.

I noticed I have a new badge on my profile. I had the Creator one for having a published video but now I have a Headliner one. I can't find anything on the site to tell me exactly what that means. Anyone know? I posted it on the Expo Forum but figured I'd ask the experts here too!

Congrats on earning a "Platinum" badge. As you know, there are Silver, Gold, and Platinum camcorder badges for members who have 100, 250 or 500 published videos. We don't have a level above "Platinum" yet but here are other badges you can earn:

Headliner badge - this is for all video creators who have 10 or more subscribers. Here's an example: http://www.expotv.com/profile/home/antho

Super Recruiter badge - this goes to all creators who have referred 10 or more friends. Here's an example: http://www.expotv.com/profile/home/x712xdamx

Have you guys had the craziest pictures of you used for your video previews? I understand the ones for products where they find one with both you and the product, but for movies in theatre when they can pick ANY frame... they pick the strangest ones!

72 videos accepted tonight!! only 28 more to be reviewed and go up although I dont really understand their method of going through and approving them, they are all in totally random order, definitly not a first come basis. and YES tiffanyd! they pick the WORST faces for the frame to put up! haha...

Not a stupid question. No, you do not have to keep the review on your computer once it is accepted by expo unless you wanted to save it for yourself. If you did a review which turned out to be exceptionally funny or unique, either you might want to keep it for a good laugh in the future, or you might just want those large files off your computer forever.

And yes, those funny faces they choose for the review snap shots are hysterical. Like when you blink and they catch it mid-blink, so you look stoned... then there are the mouth open views, the up your nose views... I have seen so many odd things on there already. People are strange, aren't they?

I must say I am so impressed with the DISers that are going for the 100 reviews before Aug 1. Mermaid 86, you have been quite busy, great job!

I was wondering this myself. I think I was reading somewhere that it has to do with their TV show. You can order the products people are reviewing by calling an 800 number. Can anyone confirm?

thanks! i have been a busy little bee!! DBF just got a new job this week and we only have one car, so I have been stuck at home with nothing to do. Between the new job and the money we're getting from Expo, we will be able to book Disney in no time! As of now I have $385 in my account Can't wait for the rest to get approved and reach the $500!!

There is definitely no rhyme or reason to how they approve videos. On Thursday I uploaded about 11 for DH and several of those got approved on the SAME day while there are others from the beginning of this month still waiting for approval. He has like 30 more to do to get to his 100 goal and I still have like 40 I think. My DD 13 has been doing a lot of reviews for me this week and I hope they accept them. I asked in their forums if 13 and older could do their own reviews and they told me they could.

If I upload a video in July, but they don't get around to approving it until August, which month does it count for? I'm worry because I've only gotten 17 out of 59 reviews approved. I need them to count for July!

You're ok. Any reviews uploaded in July count for July, even if they don't get approved til August. That is what I gathered from our thread (or their forum) anyway.

Argh! I just joined today and uploaded 2 videos, but they both say "video error" in the status column. I tried changing my compression software but that didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. Turned out to have something to do w/my logitech webcam. I ended up having to take them to Windows Movie Maker and resaving them. Expotv took them then.

I DID IT!!!!! I signed up the other day and was able to upload (2) videos today. I subscribed to all the users on this board and also requested to be a friend (that took WAY...... longer than the (2) videos). Both videos uploaded without any problems, thanks to the helpful hints here on the board.

Now I will start the waiting game with most of you guys to see how long it takes for them to be accepted. Wish me luck! In the meantime, I'll be making some more videos.
