Another washer/dryer ?

I'm looking for a new washer/dryer. Planning on getting top load models, maybe the Whirlpool Cabrio. Has anyone else looked at Consumer Reports' ratings? Everytime I see one that's rated good, if you look at people's actual reviews, they always say they're terrible. It makes it hard to know whether you're actually making a good decision.

I've been waiting for these stimulus rebates. Sounds like they're coming soon, but nothing for the dryer and only $150 for the washer. Kind of disappointed.

We have the Maytag Bravos. ..Just got the washer in Dec but love it so far. HUGE basket , spins things a lot dryer....

We were unable to buy the dryer at the same time (production problems)....just ordered it today.

Just got a pair today from Besty Buy- LG 2301 for $2100 764 for each and 206 for each pedestal + tax. No rebates here in MO. Good Luck. They installed for free and free delivery.

We did just get a new set, but went with the Whirlpool 4.4 cu foot front loader.

I wanted to let you know though that I believe the stimulus $$ is only $100 for the washer. That's what was on the form that we got to submit.
