I've been considering getting a membership to either Sam's Club or BJ's (we don't have a Costco around here) to get staples as well as baby necessities. I know they have big cases of diapers... do they sell baby food as well? Does either store take manufacturers coupons? And for the savvy diaper shoppers: do you really get better deals on diapers there than you would combining store & mfr coupons at, say, Target?

BJs takes manufacturers coupons and has their own store coupons which occasionally included diapers. With my first, I did equally well combining coupons with sales at my local grocery as at BJs. However, I was able to get the prices at BJs more often. Yes, they also had baby food and formula.

I did just purchase the Sam's club membership deal from living social since we left our BJs membership lapse after DS grew out of diapers - and now we have a baby DD. They do not take coupons, so the jury is out on whether it will be worth it. I'm hoping so.

BJS takes mfg coupons the others don't

Here is a link with some of the diaper prices for NE Ohio shoppers

The March BJS coupon booklet has coupons for $5 off Luvs 120 Ct or larger and $5.00 off pampers 78 count or larger. $4.00 off Pampers wipes 6440 count
Plus you can go into a BJS just to look around you dont need a membership to go inside!!!

In May they release a coupon booklet just for baby stuff!

The reason why I am contemplating the warehouse club thing again (I keep going back and forth) is because I saw the Living Social deal today. I'm leaning more towards BJs though because of their coupon policy. My parents are Sam's Club members so if I need something from there, I can go with them -- it's just not terribly convenient.

Thanks for the link. If I decide to sign up from BJ's, I'll make sure to get in before that baby booklet in May! :thumbsup2

What's great about BJ's is that they mail you the coupon book every month- you don't have to go searching for deals.

Also, there's a rack with sheets of coupons when you walk in. AND, if you want to go the extra mile, there are coupons on their website. Also, if you forget your book at home, you can go to the service desk and they usually have a few books that you can rip out individual coupons from. (They won't give you the whole book, though.) So they really make it easy.
