We are booked October 9 - 16th at SSR (long story as to why we were not able to book our "Home" at BCV at 11 months)
I would like to waitlist for BCV. I realize it is F & W festival and it is not likely to come through - but maybe
But which is more likely to be available - a studio or a 1 BR? I want to increase our chances and although I prefer a 1 BR, a studio would be okay too.
TIA

You can have up to two waitlists at a time, could you put in a request for both a studio and 1BR?

I would think the 1 bd would be easier since the studios are less points. However, Sunshine is right, waitlist for both and make sure it is going til 7 days out instead of 30

That's going to be a tough waitlist, since it begins on the Columbus Day Holiday weekend. Hope it works out for you. I'd waitlist for both if you aren't using both of your waitlists for something else. If you can only do one waitlist, I think the 1 bedrooms are less popular than the studios, but you really never know.

Is there any way to know how many people are waitlisted for a particular resort. We are booked at SSR for 10/26 to 11/2 and are waitlisted for BCV for a 1bdr. I was just curious if you could find out if you are person #3 or #300 on the list.

I know it is a LONG shot. We will be perfectly satisfied at SSR if the waitlist does not come through. We adore the F & W festival and it is the reason we have BCV as our home resort. It just didn't work at 11 months this year. But we were not planning on WDW at all this year (we were going to VB instead), so it is an extra trip and that is great
We are planning a different vacation experience than usual, since we are staying somewhere different. I have some ADR's at DTD, which we usually don't even visit. We are going to go to Cirque this time as well.

As far as 2 waitlists, I am thinking of waitlisting at both BCV and BWV for that week. So I need to decide before MS opens today, whether I do 2 waitlists at BCV or 1 each at BCV and BWV for a 1 BR, if they are likely to be easier to come through.

Thanks for all your replies.

I read on here once (don't know how true it is) that 1 bedroom units are the easiest of the bunch to get, studios are the hardest. Good luck! I just took us off of the waitlist for BCV. We have never stayed at SSR so we thought we would give it a try.

I've heard 1BRs are the easiest to get as well. So, I'd waitlist the 1BR at BCV and BWV. Best of luck.

Thanks for all the replies. I bit the bullet and make a decision :lmao:
I called and put in a waitlist for a 1 BR at both BCV and BWV.
I really don't plan on them coming through, but there is no downside to the request.
We will be happy where ever we stay.

We are booked in a 2 bedroom at SSR for 10/14 - 10/21. We are on a wait list at BWV & BCV, but so far nothing has come thru. Have called MS a couple of times and they claim they can't see how many ahead on wait list. Not sure if true or not.
We are doing F & W, and would prefer to be near Epcot just like everyone else. At some point I am going to have to accept that we are not walking distance from F & W.
