Another use yr question

When I originally contacted my DVC guide about purchasing at AKL we spoke about a Sept UY however, when we got to the deposit point I was told that Sept UY may not be availalbe and that I may have to get Aug UY. Now when we discussed having an Sept UY I would get my points on Sept 1, 2008 and still have the developer points to use also. Now if I have to go with an Aug UY will I still get pts for 2008? I am wondering can DVC sell an Aug UY beginnning 2008 this close to August?

Disney should be able to sell you whatever UY is available. When we bought, AugUY, it was past the banking window but we had a grace period to figure out what we wanted to do with the current years points. But AKL seems to be running a little different. Just to be safe verify everything with your guide.

It may depend on when you actually close on the contract. I would think though that you would still get '08 pts as long as everything was completed prior to 9/01. As suggested, get confirmation from your guide and try to make that one of the conditions of the sale. Good luck, and let us know how it all turns out.

We recently purchased an AUG UY for AK, we will have 2008 points, but they can't be used until after May 1, 2009 and we received the developer points to be used at SSR, II or DLR.

Well it's all done, signed my contract today with SEPT UY,
There was some issue with DVC that my guide was telling me that I may not be able to get Sept but instead get Aug and would not get any points for 2008. Luckily and perhaps a little bit of disney magic I got the UY I wanted and the 2008 points.
