another UPH question

I thought that when you book a ressie, ALL the members of the party must get UPHs or NOBODY gets UPHs.

However, from Deb Wills site

When you purchase your UPH's through CRO/WDTC, they are directly tied to the entire length of your reservation and the number in your party; hence the length of stay pass must be purchased by all members of your party (except for holders of AP/PAP's) and must equal the number of nights reserved. Holders of valid AP/PAP's are exempted from this requirement.

We have ressies for next month. My DW and I have APs. So, based on the above I called WDW to try and get a UPH for my DD ahead of time. (Get the prepay discount plus the Disney Club discount).

Called two different times and couldn't get one.

One CM even said that he thought it was possible, but the computer wouldn't let him do it.

Has anybody done this before? Is the information on Deb Wills' site out of date?

It's not that the info is out of date (you don't need an UPH with an AP) as it is that the computer system at WDW won't allow purchases in advance of the UPH apparently.

I use an AP now, but previously when I used a UPH I had to purchase them at the time of check in at the resort in which I was staying.

It's been awhile since I've used that form of ticket media, so things may have changed, but clearly purchasing it ahead of time is not something that seems to be able to be accomplished.

Discounts (as in % off purchase price) should apply at the time of the purchase of the UPH. I know I was able to use a 10% discount at the time of purchase.

Can it be done? Yes. Can you manage to find someone who knows how? Hmmmmm. Your best case scenario is that you get a DRC CM who knows what they are doing.

But seeing that is an often remote possibility, your worst case scenario is that you can get the single UPH for DD at resort check-in. You would not be able to get a discount on it though.
