Another Upgrade Question

I have been reading plenty about upgrades and I am just wondering if anyone who has had adjoinging staterooms have ever been upgraded. We are a family of 6 and of course need 2 staterooms so I have booked 2 Category 10's that are adjoining on Deck 2. Just wondering if an upgrade is a possibility or if I should just upgrade myself to a 9? Those windows to the outside are looking better and better! A verandah would be even better but a little pricey for 2 roms!

Yes, I have heard of adjoining staterooms being upgraded together, although I'd have to say that is probably even more rare than an upgrade.

Always book what you want and will be happy with. If you think you'd be happier with a 9, then you may want to just bite the bullet and make the call.

Yes, it happens...but it happens less often than a single stateroom ressie being upgraded as there are fewer rooms you could upgrade to.....

That is what I was thinking - just do it and upgrade to a 9. We are not travelling until Jan 23, 05 and I have already paid for the cruise in full so any upgrades I do from now on will not cost very much.

Or maybe you could upgrade to an outside stateroom with an inside across the hall.

We are in the same boat, so to speak, booked inside category 10's that are adjoining. I guess I will stop holding my breath for an upgrade and just plan on not spending a lot of time in our rooms

I had thought of rooms across the hall - but - the kids are only 13, 11, 9 & 6 and I had to twist my DH arm to get him to go on a cruise so I do not think the thought of us having seperate rooms would not go over well. With the adjoining rooms the kids can have "their own room", while we are still basically in the same room!

We will see how this cruise goes and maybe upgrade on the next one!
